SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir acts tough on traffic rule violators.
Says the drive will be intensified in the coming days

Srinagar December 10 : SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, R P Singh (JKPS), orchestrated a specialized initiative in Kulgam/Qazigund on NHW-44, targeting motorists who violated prescribed rules under the MV Act. Offenders faced penalties for various infractions, including failure to wear helmets, absence of HSRP, overloading, excess fare, and lacking valid documentation. Emphasizing the paramount importance of operating with the utmost integrity and due diligence, SSP R P Singh underscored the significance of effective challan procedures against violators. The primary focus was on a sustained campaign for blacklisting, DL/RC cancellation, and the confiscation of vehicles engaged in repeated offences, stunt biking, and fatal accidents.
A sincere appeal was extended to all stakeholders, encompassing drivers, commuters, parents, civil society, and the business community, urging collective efforts to ensure efficient traffic management and the reduction of roadside accidents.

Police man shot at, injured in Bemina, Sgr

*He has been shifted to hospital, condition stable: Top Official*

Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNO): A police man was shot at and injured at Hamdaniya Colony, Bemina, Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that unknown gunmen attacked a police man identified as Hafiz Ahmed Son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Mathiya bund, Hamdaniya Colony, Srinagar. “He was injured in the right arm and abdomen,” the official said.

A senior police official said that the injured cop has been shifted to SKIMS Bemina where his condition is stated as stable—(KNO)

District Police Kulgam held Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings

*December 09* : In its Ongoing process to address the grievances of general public and to identify issues and collaboratively develop solutions that improve police community partnerships, improve public safety by strengthening trust; district police Kulgam on the directions of *SSP Kulgam*; held PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group Meetings) at *Police Station Kulgam*, *Police Station Kund, Police Station DH Pora*, *Police Station Yaripora*, *Police Station Qazigund* *Police Post Frisal*. The meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by respectable citizens including; Market associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Numberdars, Sarpanchs, Panchs, youth and other representatives of said areas.

Various participants while speaking on this occasion, appreciated the process of organising such events in the Kulgam by police department in which an opportunity is being provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like; drug abuse, domestic violence, speedy justice, electricity deficiency and water scarcity and seeks their redressal for the betterment of all. The officers present at the meet gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police would be resolved on priority.

While addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in the area. The officers have also requested upon providing the information to police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.

DC Kulgam reviews security & other arrangements for JKSSB’s Panchayat Secretary exam

KULGAM, DECEMBER 08: In connection with the JKSSB, OMR based written examination of Panchayat Secretary scheduled to be held on December 10th, a meeting of police officers and Magistrates was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here.

At the outset, DC and SSP passed a slew of directions to executive magistrates and police officers respectively to ensure elaborated security arrangements for smooth conduct of the scheduled exam of Panchayat Secretary.

It was informed that there are 35 examination centers in the district.

During the meeting, arrangements for drinking water, heating, power, seating, transport, security, etc. were finalized.

The DC impressed upon all stakeholders to work in close coordination and ensure smooth and successful conduct of examination across all centres.

He also sensitized all the officers about their role and responsibilities for the smooth conduct of the SSB examination across the district.

The meeting was also attended by SSP, Sahil Sarangal; ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather; ASP, Shabir Ahmad; JDP, Zahid Sajjad; DSP Hq, Magistrates and other concerned officers.

NIA Attaches Properties of 2 Key LeT Operatives Involved in BSF Convoy Terror Attack in Udhampur

Srinagar, Dec 7 (GNS): National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday attached properties of two key Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives for their involvement in 2015 terror attack on a Border Security Forces convoy in Udhampur.

As learnt by GNS, sleuths of the investigation agency attached the properties of two accused who are currently undergoing trial in the NIA Special Court, Jammu.

The attachment was made on the directions of a competent Court. (GNS)

DM Kulgam has asked Netizens of kulgam to refrain from the Misuse of Social-media Networking Platforms.

The District Magistrate Kulgam Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat has issued an order and asking the netizens in the district to refrain from all sorts of misuse of social-media networking platforms.

As per DM order some anti-national person(s) or group(s) are resorting to misuse of social-media networking platforms on internet by way of ‘preparing’ or ‘posting’ or ‘spreading’ or ‘propagating’ or by way of ‘forwarding’ or ‘sharing’ incendiary messages and propaganda's of terrorist and banned separatist outfits.

Such activities, as per the order , are being carried out with intention to glorify terrorists and their actions, Intimidate and terrorise the individuals or general public or a sections of public, exhort member(s) of public to resort to violence by inciting, encouraging and spreading disaffection/hatred, or to Propagate terrorist and secessionist ideology and false narratives, and Promoting fell of hatred, ill-will on religious grounds and is likely to disturb the public order and tranquility.

The FAQs for general public regarding Prohibitory order pertaining to misuse of Social Media u/s 144 CrPC are as

1. What happens if I receive a message propagating terrorism or secessionism or threat or intimidation or communally sensitive material on my mobile/computer (SM Platform, both open & closed) from known/unknown people ?
Ans: It should be reported at an earliest, to the nearest P/S (Police Station) or P/P(Police Post) with a screen shot, mentioning all the details.
2. What happens when I accidently/involuntarily forward or share a message/post propagating terrorism or secessionism or threat or intimidation or communally sensitive material, from my mobile/computer, to other numbers (contacts) or Groups?
Ans: Firstly, the messages are recalled back (like DELETE FOR ALL on Whatsapp) ASAP. If the time has elapsed, then a clarification, to each contact /group, to which it was shared, should be issued/sent, clarifying the stance and then screenshots to be saved separately.
Secondly, as a precautionary measure, it should be reported to the nearest P/S or P/P.
3. What happens when I receive a message or post, propagating terrorism or secessionism or threat or intimidation or communally sensitive material , on my mobile/computer, but I haven’t downloaded it and subsequently not reported it to the authorities? (However, it was discovered later on)
Ans: If you haven`t downloaded and subsequently not forwarded/ posted any such messages then there is no criminality. However, as a responsible citizen, you must report such type of messages whenever you receive/ download or whenever you get to know about such messages, to the nearest P/S or P/P.
4. What happens if I continue to be the member of a Social Media Group, which is frequented with messages or posts, propagating terrorism or secessionism or threat or intimidation or communally sensitive material , whether or not I have clicked a link or downloaded any content?
Ans: The presumption will be against you, unless you have opted out of the group or reported the group to the police authorities. It will be presumed you agree and approve the content shared in the group as a conspirator.

KULGAM, DECEMBER 05: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Waltengoo Nad Gujjarbasti and met the bereaved families, who lost their loved ones in the most unfortunate accident in Shimla.

Dr Bilal termed the accident as the most unfortunate incident, which has shattered all. He expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased and said that the whole Administration stands with them in this hour of grief.

He also extended sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and speedy recovery to the injured.

Yesterday, 06 persons Fareed Ahmad Deedar, (24), Gulam Hussain Gorsi (43), Shabir Ahmad Deedar, (19), Talib Hussain Tinda (23), Gulzar Ahmad Deedar (30), and Mushtaq Ahmad Dedar (30) from Kund Waltengoo Nad area of Kulgam District lost their lives and their mortal remains were brought back for last rites at their native village after proactive efforts of Administration.

Accompanying the DC were SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, DDC Member Kund Gulzar Ahmad and other officers.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities observed at Kulgam

KULGAM, DECEMBER 03: On the eve of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Social Welfare Department Kulgam today organised a day long awareness cm interaction program for persons with disabilities of district Kulgam at Auditorium of Mini Secretariat, here.

The programme was presided over by the DDC Chairperson Kulgam, M Afzal Parray and was attended by Officers and Officials of Social Welfare department, President Bar Association Kulgam, Resource persons from DLSA and District Hospital Kulgam and Persons with Disabilities of district Kulgam.

The participants were made aware about various schemes and programs of the govt for the welfare of the specially abled persons.

An interactive session to address the specific grievances of the participants was held before the culmination of the program.

A complimentary medical check up camp was also organised in collaboration with CMO Kulgam during which free medical checkup of the participants was carried out and free medicines were also distributed.

Training for smooth conduct of ensuing JKSSB’s OMR based exams held at Kulgam

KULGAM, DECEMBER 01: In order to ensure smooth conduct of upcoming OMR based examination for the posts of Panchayat Secretaries being conducted by JKSSB, a Training session of Superintendents/ Dy Superintendents was conducted at mini-secretariat Kulgam, today.

The Training was imparted by Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Member JKSSB and Viqar Ahmed Giri ADC Kulgam (Chief Inspector).

It was informed that the examination has been scheduled on 10th December 2023 in 35 Centres in District Kulgam.

During the Training session, the participants were sensitized about the SOPs of the examination.

It was further reiterated that Mobile Phones/ Smart watches /other gadgets shall not be allowed in the examination centres.

The session ended with a question and answer session regarding the queries for the conduct of examination

*Pulwama Encounter: 01 militant killed, operation underway*

Srinagar, November 30:(GNS) An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight at Arihal area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thrusday, an official said.

A senior police officer, while confirming to GNS that one militant has been killed, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, a joint team of Police and the army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

As the joint team of forces zeroed towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired on the joint team, which was retaliated triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)

Srinagar, November 30:(GNS) Encounter has started between militants and security forces in Arihal in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

A senior police officer told GNS that a team of Police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Arihal on a very specific input.

As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to an encounter, officer added.

A meeting of the District Level Committee under the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) was today held at mini-secretariat, here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat. During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various issues related to the incidence of drug addiction, certification of Nasha Mukt Villages as per norms, hotspots of drug use and action taken by the concerned departments with regard to curbing the menace of drugs. During the meeting DC sought details from the concerned departments about the measures being taken to control the Drug addiction and rehabilitation of addicts in designated treatment and rehabilitation centres. He said that efforts with cooperation, coordination and collaboration are vital to contain the drug peddling and break the supply chain, besides taking stringent action against the culprits involved in the hazardous trade of drugs.

جموں اینڈ کشمیر اکیڈمی آف آرٹ ،کلچر اینڈ لینگویجز کے اہتمام اور گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج دمہال ہانجی پورہ کولگام کے اشتراک سے ایک سیمینار بہ عنوان”اردو شاعری کی مبادیات“ منعقد کیا گیا۔اس سیمینار میں محفل مقالات اور مشاعرہ کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ سیمینار کی صدارت کہنہ مشق شاعر جناب علی شیدا نے کی۔ پروفيسر شارق زاہدہ دیوا بہ طور مہمان ِ خصوصی اور مطہرہ عابدہ وحید ، ڈاکٹر معروف شاہ اور پروفیسر راشد عزیز بہ طور مہمانان ذی وقار ایوان صدارت میں موجود رہے ۔اس دوران ڈاکٹر جاوید جہاں بہ طور میزبان اور محمد سلیم سالک مدیر شیرازہ اکیڈمی کے نمائندہ کی حیثیت سےایوان صدارت میں موجود تھے۔ سیمینار کے دوران نظامت کے فراٸض ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال لون نے انجام دیٸے۔ پروفيسر شارق زاہدہ دیوا ، پرنسپل کالج نے باقاعدہ مہمانوں کا استقبال کیا ۔ سیمینار کے دوران مدیر شیرازہ اردو نے اکیڈمی کی ادبی سرگرميوں اور اغراض و مقاصد کا ایک مفصل خاکہ پیش کیا ۔ سیمینار کی پہلی نشست میں ڈاکٹر راشد عزیز نے اپنا پُر مغز مدلل اور مفصل کلیدی خطبہ”اردو شاعری کی مبادیات ۔۔۔موزون کلامی“پیش کیا ۔اس سیر حاصل مقالہ کو سامعین و حاضرین محفل نے بے حد سراہا ۔اس دوران سوال و جواب اور مباحثہ کا سلسلہ بھی چلا۔ اس کےبعد کالج کے رسالہ”نور آباد“کی رسم رونماٸ

#One Lady Died_Three other injured in Lal Bazar Gas Cylinder Explosion # A massive blaze has engulfed in a residential house in Lal Bazar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday Afternoon after a gas cylinder explosion incident happened there, officials said. a massive fire broke out in a residential house situated near GD Goenka School, Srinagar. DFO, Divisional one lady has died namely Khatija Begum (75) and another three persons have been injured in this incident, Fire is under control right now , However, Injured persons have been identified as Mohd Yousuf Zaroo (Owner) His wife Maryam and his daughter are under treatment at SKIMS

The #Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) commenced today in 10 Panchayat Halqas of the D.K.Marg block of the district. Deputy Commissioner,Dr.Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, presided over the inaugural function of the Yatra. These Panchayats where the Yatra started today included Badijahalan, Gulzarabad, Chimmer, A&B, Humpathri, DK Marg AB&C, Boh and Dragden. The Yatra has been rolled out with the intention to reach out to the unreached population, and aware them about the multitude of government schemes and the process to avail benefits. DC addressing the gathering,comprising in its ranks; students, officials, beneficiaries, public ,PRIs highlighted the purpose behind the Yatra and informed that the Yatra provides a platform for the departments to register unreached populations under various schemes.
