Brahmasakli Peak , highest peak in the district kulgam

Brahma Sakli- A little known and almost unexplored mountain peak (three peaks in a row), standing like a trident in full granduer on the mighty Pir Panjal Range, with the two pristine lakes, Brahmsar and Chirsar nestled in its foothills. This fascinating mountain cliff is the higest peak in district Kulgam, and the third higest peak in the Pir Panjal range.
Due to its tough gradient, unpredictable danger of shooting stones, challanging weather conditions, boulders, glaciers; only the professional mountaineers can summit to its apex. Moreover, to climb by the north-eastern side of the peak is totally impossible/fatal. So, if you are approaching by route-1, it is highly advised to pass the Kali Gali (mountain pass) in order to reach the south -eastern side of the peak- the safest and the most convenient route of the trek.The best season to summit this magnificant cliff is August to October.

ZAJIMARG MEADOWS KULGAM

Zajimarg (Jajimarg) is a scenic vast alpine meadow in the district Kulgam at an elevation of around 3020m ASL. It is around 2 kms in length and more than a km in breadth. It connects with Hakwas and Gogalmarg meadows by Northeast and Southwest sides respectively. Famous Zajinar Nallah and other surrounding glacial brooks are traversing like the veins in the meadow. This beautiful meadow is a summer habitat for the tribal people and shepherds of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions. There are several beaten tracks leading to this destination.
