This is a DR 9 Insurance site still growing Week on Week basis.. without building backlinks.

Solid Technical SEO setup + content is the key in my SOP's always.

What I really care is continuous flow of leads to the business without any surprises from search updates.

As an SEO, you need to handle the technical things too..So that your SEO setup won't get messed up.

Last time I worked on the site is September 2023.

Can't wait for the version 2.0 for this site to go live..

The 2nd phase I'm revamping the whole technical stack of the site now...

Check your emotions when the rankings drops.. if they are stable like any other day.. then you have attained a good mindset. and systems. :)

In this case, even the website rankings are falling in my test sites, I celebrated my birthday and the festival.. Coz. I know exactly why it is falling too (pages getting out of index) .. Finding out that core issue is an art.

If you don't have solid mindset, you might start tearing apart good stuff.

Always be learning and growing :)

Make your elevator pitch in ELI5 Format.
(ELI5 = Explain as I'm 5 year old)

So that anyone can understand in simplest format.

Tune the and tweak the pitch as you go..

I did the same thing yesterday in the e-chai startup event.

Pitch has to be two way conversational instead of one way..

While pitching.. I asked simple questions to the attendee, and they respond.. So they know exactly when and where I can help them.

The response was good.

Zero backlinks built in the past 6 month.

This is an insurance niche website, it's freaking competitive... Competing against companies with billion dollars fundings etc.

People think that.. with backlink only you can move the rankings. .

with meaningful budgets, I like to take it as a challenge and focus on the things I can control.. Tech, On-page content, Semantic SEO, etc.

Survived multiple SEO updates as you have seen the image below of the past 12 months.

So I'm going for the 2nd phase of this site.. whole website going to revamp to applying Korayness magic right into the site.

Takeaways:

Fix your foundations first and also the things you can control.. even if the growth is slower..that's not a problem.. you won't have heart attack of rankings drops etc. Continuos lead flow is the key for any businesses. .That's exactly what I focus.

My action plan for now and the future:

It's time to fix the whole website foundation and once it's done then..

I'm going to blend my Technical SEO + external page ranking things (Backlinks) with my partners and friends I met in Chiang mai SEO.

The backlinks budgets are easily $5k per month easily. All I said to the site owner is.. fix the foundations then we can go for the backlinks etc..

Focussing on the strength is the way to go in the future. And rest of the things you can find partners who can focus on their strength. Win-win..

Everyone get their share of the pie.

Case study: People say core web vitals and tech SEO don't improve rankings... It was just an assumption.

Here is a WordPress site I worked on. In less than 35 days, I've been able to add 35,000+ new keywords into website organic traffic . The site already has topical maps and other magical things from Koray Tuğberk Gübür

The site owner is an awesome friend of Koray and me... He totally cooperates with whatever I say.

I just met couple of my clients (seo buddies) at the surfer seo party last night.

One of him was saying that “the schema you did in 2019 for my Australia site is a game charge, the site still manage to rank top positions without much update on the content and links”.

If I wouldn’t meet them I would have totally missed this kind of after effect insights.

This is why I focus on nerd things, they are futuristic and long term benefits.

Technical SEO Fact.

Entity doesn't have to be a noun. (Place, person or a thing)
Entity can be a concept too.

The way you make a concept an entity helps bots to understand what exactly are we talking about.

That's where vectors super helpful.

Once you make a concept an entity. You become authority in your niche too.

The concept of reranking with information retrieval.. and here is the simple case study with proof.

Google has to re-process al the information in the website to understand the page and compute the page rank and all... even after indexing. Speically this applies during the algorithm updates.

This whole site got a boost in the rankings. Not weeks, not months. In just few days.

These kind of setup takes time to implement.

The foundation of this magic is your Tech stacks, and technical SEO!

Make things easy for a search is the key here. So that bots can retrieve the information faster and process it.

PS: No backlinks built for this at all. Pure tech SEO magic.

Simple Technical SEO auidt SOP!

Did a masive crawl on Screaming Frog and forgot to enable the API data?

Not to worry!

Just add the API and request the API data alone, no need to re-crawl everything!

Here is a simple trick.

Enable the API you want the data to fetch.

Example:

if you want data of URL inspection API alone, then enable the GSC API alone.

Go to menu - > Configuration - > API access - > Request API data.

That's it.

No need to hit the site with another crawl. Thus saving the resource for the server and the environment too.

Wanted update data of GSC, analytics everyday? Save this as. a project and load the file and repeat the same process. You won't need to crawl the site again and again.

SEO's are worrying about the indexing issues on their and client sites.

The things you can control are site tech stacks, Servers, website performances and more.

Just make sure the site is as healthy as you can. You will get benefited with the compounded returns always.

Here is the live example: The 2nd and 3rd image is my test site where every content is duplicated (Templated Localized content).

I have no issues on indexing them. It's becuase of the tests, systems I crate. if tests passed on this hard site and everysite I can setup this system get benefited.

These systems and processes where I deploy on consutling clients.

Takeaways:

1. Track the server logs always seriously and preserve it. if the server logs are huge at least preserve the google bot user agents.

2. Make sure the site is superfast even in 3g network and low performance device like moto g4.

You can test it using Lighthouse - https://www.webpagetest.org/lighthouse

3. Keep the site healthy. No more 301, 404, 500 etc. It's your job to keep the site healthy as an SEO. Give your best.

4. Make sure you have tech stack ready for sudden spikes in crawling of google. If you are not prepared for it, then you won't get benefited by the growth.

Spend good money on tech stacks and have more room for more bandwidth and growth.

5. Keep the site lean as much as you can. Refactor the codes, plugins, and everything else as much as you can.

6.. Have curious mindset and Keep learning new things in outside comfort zones and test the ideas, processes. This is how you can get more knowledge than reading, watching.

One of the few schema projects I did back in 2019 as a side gigs is... Rehab centre in USA.

When I revisiting the code I did.. It's seems so basic back then when I compare to present version of code.

Best part, they still ranking for transaction keywords even now.

And they have this in robots.txt

Terrible, right?

They are hurting themselves without out proper knowledge of tehnical SEO implementation.

Now you see... technical SEO can make the site upwards or downwards. Once the setup is done correctly. It has to be maintained well.
