tion & Distribution. Redbud Media has produced two short films- ‘Coffee Date’ in 2013 & ‘Check-mate’ in 2014. Coffee Date grabbed quite a few nominations in festivals in India as well as abroad. But it was ‘Check-mate’, directed by Sanjiban Nath, which got selected in Euro Film Festival in Spain (Madrid) & till date has received 3 awards in the category of 2nd best film (Sand Dunes International Short Film Festival’2014), best director (Uttarkhand International Film Festival’2015), special jury award (Ahmednagar International Short Film Festival’ 2015) & 3 Certificates of appreciation from Kanyakumari International Film Festival’2014, Kortokino International Short Film Festival Mumbai’2015, & Culture Curry Short Film Festival Kolkata’2015. Very recently, the film received another "Special Jury Award" after getting selected for screening at the Rising International Short Film Festival, Pune, where results got declared on 27th October'2015. During its journey in the field of Line Producing, the company’s founder member Bishakh Sen met with Mr. Rahul Chakraborty, one of the most renowned & popular Production Controllers of our times. It was under the watchful guidance of Rahul Da & his team of technicians, the company got a wide perspective & hands-on experience in managing & executing large productions not only in Tollywood, but also in Bollywood. Rahul Chakraborty’s incredible repertoire includes 13 National Award winning films in Tollywood, directed by Buddhadev Dasgupta, Rituparno Ghosh & Kaushik Ganguly among a few others. Apart from this, his team (which is now working under the banner of Redbud Media) did a whole lot of commercial films directed by Raj Chakraborty, Mainak Bhowmick, Arindam Sil, Atanu Ghosh and many others. One of the most promising young personalities in Rahul Da’s team, Abhishek Bagchi, felt the need to corporatize the whole bunch of high calibre Production Managers & unite them under a single window. Redbud Media grabbed this golden opportunity to form a line production unit which now boasts of big names & a few hit projects where Abhishek himself featured as an EP (Executive Producer). Some of these Tollywood projects are Ebar Shabor, Buno Haansh, Take One, Rupkatha Noy, Ab**to & Hrid Majharey. In terms of Bollywood, this team has worked in films like Gunday & Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, both produced by Yash Raj Films. Redbud Media is now offering a bouquet of five Bengali feature films. The scripting, detailed budget & tentative casting of all films are ready. These are 1) Dimpy’r Jonye, 2) The Sonnet, 3) Betaal, 4) Taag & 5) Motamuti Thaka. The storyline of each film is unique and the stories belong to highly diversified genres. The story & screen play of the first project, Dimpy’r Jonye, has been developed by multi-talented & versatile Director Abhishek Bagchi.
