Kodungallur Thalappoli:-
It is a Festival at Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple, Kodungallur where kodungallur bharani happens, Processions with caparisoned elephants (9 elephants), festival last 4 days, Panchavadyam, Paandi melam etc. are performed two times -afternoon and after midnight- on these days. Ladies and girls carrying traditional oil lamps accompany this procession, which is called Thalappoli. On all these days after sunset, fireworks with 1101 Kadinas(miniature form of cannons) is conducted as part of ritual.
