VQGAN_Art
Hola everyone! With the advent of NFTs, various DL methods are at the forefront, going toe-to-toe with the top artists. Here, we utilize one of the recent developments in image generation, to render a artistic video.
We are using a VQGAN (Vector Quantized Generative Adversarial Network) in the current approach! It was first introduced for the paper “Taming Transformers” (2021) by Esser, Rombach, and Ommer. We’ll be explaining the method, and its industry application in the workshop!

Neural Art KDAG
What is art, after all? Now that is a subjective question. But we do know that we assimilate audio-visuals better than any other media. Hence we at the Kharagpur Data Analytics Group are hosting a 3-day workshop on art and Machine Learning. Using art we’ll try to build a greater understanding and appreciation for ML and DL methods!
We’ll also hear from the top professionals across the globe and in multiple fields about how art intertwines with data science, be it NFT generation, or Urban Planning!
Right after this workshop, a task round will be held for the Neural Art team at KDAG! So join us, from 1st to 3rd of July, at 5PM, and embark on this thrilling ride!
