Rhinoceros: The one-horned rhinoceros is another iconic inhabitant of Assam, found in places like Kaziranga National Park. Deer: Species like the chital (Axis axis) and swamp deer (Cervus duvauceli duvauceli) roam Assam’s forests. Clouded Leopard: This elusive feline, known for its striking coat, also resides here. Hoolock Gibbon: A unique primate found in the region. Pygmy Hog: A critically endangered small wild pig native to Assam. Golden Langur: A striking golden-colored monkey species. Golden Cat, Hispid Hare, Giant Civet, and more. Birds:
