अपने जिस आशियाने में बैठे बैठे आप बोर हो रहे हैं उसी तक पहुंचने के लिये हज़ारों लोग सैकड़ो किलोमीटर पैदल चल रहे हैं और बहुतों ने तो अपनी जान गवाँ दी और हज़ारों लोग अभी भी इस आस में बैठे हैं कि कब किसी तरह हम अपने बच्चों के साथ वहाँ पहुँच पायें। आज यदि आप सपरिवार अपने घर मे हैं स्वस्थ हैं और आपको 2 टाइम का भोजन मिल रहा है तो समझ लीजिए कि आप दुनिया के बहुत भाग्यशाली व्यक्ति हैं।

*काहीतरी शिकण्यासारखे...*

अभिनेता दिलीप कुमार म्हणतात
"जेव्हा माझं करिअर उंची वर होत... प्रसिध्दी पदरी होती माझ्या... सगळीकडे मान, सन्मान मिळायचा.. त्या वेळचा हा जीवनप्रसंग.....

एकदा मी विमानाने प्रवास करत होतो...
माझ्या बाजुला एक साधा, वयाने माझ्यापेक्षा मोठा असलेला प्रवासी बसलेला होता...
माणूस खुपच Simple...कपडे त्यांनी साधे च लावलेले... Middle class वाटत होता... पण तो प्रवासी सुशिक्षित वाटत होता..
मी विमानात आहो हे लक्षात येताच इतर प्रवासी मला हात दाखवू लागले... पाहू लागले.. पण माझ्या बाजुला बसलेला Gentleman ते आपल्या कामात मग्न होते... त्यांनी माझ्याकडे लक्ष पण नाही दिलं... ते वर्तमानपत्र (Newspaper) वाचत बसलेले.. खिडकी च्या बाहेर बघत होते.... पण ते माझ्याशी बोलले पण नाही... बोलणं तर दूरच बघितलं सुद्धा नाही..
जेव्हा चाय प्यायची वेळ आली मीच त्यांना Smile दिली...
ते पण हसून उत्साहाने मला Hello म्हणाले..
मग आम्ही बोलायला लागलो...
मी सिनेमाचा विषय काढला आणि त्यांना विचारलं, "सिनेमा बघता ना?"
ते म्हणाले, "हो, पण खुप कमी...खुप वर्ष झालीत शेवटचा सिनेमा पाहून.."
मी म्हटलं की मी स्वतः सिनेमात काम करतो..
"अरे वाह! काय करता तुम्ही?" त्यांनी मला विचारलं.....मी अभिनेता आहे त्यांना सांगितलं...

ते म्हणाले “अच्छा...छानच..”

जेव्हा आम्ही पोहोचलो... विमानाच्या बाहेर निघताच...
मी माझा हाथ समोर करून म्हटलं.. “खरंच, खुप छान वाटलं तुमच्या बरोबर प्रवास करून,, बाय द वे, माय नेम इज दिलीपकुमार’

त्यानी माझ्याशी हात मिऴवला आणि म्हटलं..’अरे वा....I am J. R. D. Tata!’

*त्याक्षणी मी शिकलो की तुम्ही किती पण मोठे व्हा,,तुमच्यापेक्षा नेहमीच कोणीतरी मोठं असणार.. “माणसानी अहंकार न बाऴगता नम्र असावं...
