Benaras Media Vision Statement Benaras Media is an endeavor to create films in three segments. a) Bollywood films
b) ICWF (Indian Content World Films)
c) World Films
Bollywood Films
Bollywood is an old tradition that historically only the audience from the Indian subcontinent relates to. Also traditionally, the subcontinent audience living abroad dominates the ‘Overseas Market’ of Bollywood films and these films are released primarily in community theaters. Bollywood market has grown rapidly in the past three years with a dramatic growth in the number of screens in the country. The highest grossing film in the country so far has reached multi million dollar mark and this number is expected to rise steadily. In this segment Benaras Media has entered into a tri- ‐partite agreement with Alumbra Entertainment, Mumbai and Eros International for a multi picture, multi million dollar financing and distributing deal. The films are jointly funded by Alumbra and Eros and will be distributed by the vast network of the latter. Benaras Media is expected to deliver this slate by the middle of 2014. ICWF
With the rise in number of multiplex screens in the country, there has been a trend of India films that do not conform to the Bollywood tradition. There are a considerable number of such films every year that have managed to make profits only by appealing to the multiplex audience. A serious point to understand here is that because of a wide disparity in literacy and economic capabilities within the Indian society, now there is an established divide between the kind of films that largely work in single screen theaters and the ones that work more in multiplexes. Not to deny the fact that there are some that work equally well in both. Looking at the now established strength of the revenues from the multiplexes, Benaras Media plans to create and Produce films that will be non-Bollywood Indian content aiming at the world market. The first few films will be designed to have a budget under multi million dollar and will only depend on the Indian revenues for 60% to 70% of their budgets. This percentage will comprise of revenues from Indian Theatrical, Indian satellite and home video, Music if any and some other minor territories like DTH and PPV that are expected to grow really fast in the country. Like the Bollywood segment, Benaras Media intends to tie up, besides a fund, with an International studio/sales agent to ensure a wide release of such films in the world market. Benaras Media is in conversation with Funds and Studios/Sales Agents both in this segment. World Films
This segment will be activated after a reasonable success in the ICWF segment. This segment will not be limited to Indian Content. In this segment Benaras Media plans to undertake films from any country in any language that suits the palette of the company. Besides Films, Benaras Media is ready to enter in to an agreement with a US based Technology and a financing company to develop Video games based on Indian content. This association plans to create games based on Indian content for the mobile phone platform (currently estimated at 85 million users), Online gaming and some high end games for established platforms like Sony Playstation, xBox etc. Anubhav Sinha

But at the heart of hearts, he is the boy from Benares, who began his journey and flowed like the Ganga to live, breathe and let his passion of cinema flow and touch the lives of everyone once the theatre lights dim.
