• Bachpan Bachao Andolan ( 1980 ) :
- Well-known child rights and education activist, Kailash Satyarthi is credited with rescuing more than 80,000 children from child and bonded labour since the 1980s. He started the Bachpan Bachao Andolan in 1980.

• Importance of Activism :
- Activism has played a crucial role in social movements for generations – challenging local and federal government, promoting equality for women, protecting the environment, fighting against racism, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, ableism, and many more important issues .

• Motivation Behind Becoming an Activist :
- People might engage in activism because of the injustices done to them or those that they have witnessed done to others, they may also engage in activism because they identify with particular struggles and social movements that align with how they relate themselves and their family to social and economic structures.

• Education in Activisms :
- The education needed to be an activist is normally a bachelor's degree. Activists usually study political science, business or psychology. 64% of activists hold a bachelor's degree and 11% hold a associate degree.

• PMR and Activism :
- Since 2018 ; PMR has already reached out more than 50,000 underprivileged kids including Handicapped , Blind etc. who actually need our Youth's immediate attention and hence has been successful in influencing our Indian Youth to be an active Social Worker cm Social Activist and even plans to generate more Social Activists Globally specially throughout PAN India in order to make India ; a better place to exist for our Upcoming Generations.

•• HISTORY OF INDIAN YOUTH'S ACTIVISM ••
• Youth are the conscious-keepers of a nation and the foremost torchbearers that guide a country towards a more progressive future. The Indian political landscape bears a strong testimony to this statement, as the country has had a ‘rich and glorious history’ of youth activism, where the young people vociferously presented their opinions and always stepped up to fight for a just cause.

• The Indian national movement is a prominent example in this case, where leaders such as Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra, Rajguru, Chandrashekhar Azad, Surya Sen and countless others laid down their lives to fight the oppressive British rule.

• Post-independence too, there have been a number of prominent movements where the youngsters fought tooth-to-nail and formed the ‘first line of resistance’ against discriminatory government policies and repressive actions by the State. For instance, it was the student-backed JP Movement which was instrumental in bringing down the Indira Gandhi government in the 1970s.

• Since then, the involvement of the youth has been witnessed at many critical junctures in the political history of the country. Be it the Mandal Commission protests in the 1980s, Anti-corruption Movement led by Anna Hazare or the Nirbhaya protests for women safety in the 2010s, all movements saw enthusiastic participation by the younger lot . It won’t be an overstatement to say that whenever India has found itself on the crossroads of difficult decisions, the youngsters have taken the plunge to guide the country with their activism, arguments and actions.

• Activism has been a key feature of Indian universities. Many campuses over the years have provided the needed intellectual freedom and space to democratically and express opinions freely. However today, we live in a time where not only activism but even other modes of civic engagement such as protest marches, rallies and so on, are not only looked at with suspicion, but are even criminalized by the state and society alike.

• Becoming an activist in teenage :
- To be a teen activist you have to find a cause you are passionate about, have determination to help, and be a leader. PMR thinks teen activists all possess similar character traits. They are brave, passionate, and they are leaders.Activism (or Advocacy) consists of efforts to promote, impede, direct or intervene in social, political, economic or environmental reform with the desire to make changes in society toward a perceived greater good.

• Role of activism in Young age :
- An activist is anyone who cares about something and has a talent that they're willing to put toward that thing. So anyone can be an activist. Anyone can support the work of the movement .Youth activism is the participation in community organizing for social change by persons between the ages of 15–24. Youth activism has led to a shift in political participation and activism.

• Making money as an activist :
- It is possible to make activism your full-time job and earn revenue while helping the community. If you are looking for a career that allows you to contribute to more social justice or environmental protection, you might benefit from learning more about activist jobs.

• Successful Activism & Activists :
- Activists have been the most successful when they've organized in a favorable political climate. You will be the most likely to secure progressive gains when there is little to no opposition to your movement, when the public supports your cause, and when there are more Democrats and progressive allies in office.
In general, successful activists prioritize a small number of the most impactful individual actions and organizational factors and use a variety of tactics aimed at several targets in order to create change.

Say No To Drugs ;

Since 2018 , PMR started observing that the most disturbing factor among the Indian Youth are Mental Health issues etc. Which are the outcomes of abusing illicit substances and wrong prescribed medicines . PMR has initiated various campaigns via which we organised various successful events and camps in different parts of Delhi , Gurgaon and Jammu city in order to aware Drug Addicts regarding possible ways to quit ; Drug Traders usually known as Peddlers regarding the constitutional imprisonment if they are caught ; Drug Consumers who often / Casually / occasionally take drugs ; about its worse effects on mental Health and the local crowd regarding how they can raise voices against such illegal activities happening around them or in the areas they are living in .

We have involved Psychologists , Psychytrists , Mental Health Influencers , De-addiction Centers , Music Communities , Dance Communities, Artistic Communities , Doctors etc. In order to conduct such seminars , workshops on Drugs Trafficking in different corners of the country under PMR's Major campaigns such as ' SUDHRO BHARAT CAMPAIGN ' and ' JAAGO JAMMU CAMPAIGN ' and ' JAMMU WALA FLAVOUR CAMPAIGN ' .

Music being our fundamental tool to spread awareness and conduct such seminars as Music has the power to release such harmones which Drugs often release to give Addicts a proper dose of rush in their bodies ; can be a major turn over tool for the Government as well.

You will be surprised to know that more than 70% of our youth is abusing drugs which has already taken many lives and destroyed many uprising careers . We can save the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and India by proper implementation of PMR's vision in which we require your support both Officially and unofficially , Funds , Security and Transportation support as well .
