JANIPUR POLICE ARREST PEDDLER AND SEIZED HE**IN UNDER ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE

Acting tough against drug peddlers, Police Station Janipur apprehended a drug peddler and recovered approx. 5 grams of *he**in (chitta)* from his possession while he was driving towards Bantalab to sell this narcotics in his car i20 bearing registration no. *JK02AL 5616*.
When he was beacon to stop by Nakka party the said person accelerated his vehicle and tried to flee from spot, but chassed and apprehended by the alert police officials.
On questioning he disclosed his name *Farhan Shah s/o Mohd Ashraf* R/o H.no. 194 palace road ustad mohalla Pacca Danga Jammu. The said accused deliberately with Mala-fed intention indulged in illegal trade of selling/purchasing of narcotic contraband in order to gain illegitimate and undue profit.

Drug peddling has created an alarming situation in Jammu as well as in whole India where the innocent youth is falling prey to the nefarious designs of these criminals, causing many overdose deaths in recent past.

In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 145/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Janipur and further investigation was taken up.
Janipur Police led by *SHO Insp. Pawan Dogra and his team* is duty bound and working hard to nab these criminals to save innocent young generation from these criminals who have become nightmare for the parents of vulnerable children who are residing in hostels or going out for tuitions.

General public has appreciated the action of sub-division city west police for registering one after another FIR under NDPS Act to remove this menace with the launch of *Zero tolerance policy* .
Pertinent to mention that this is seventh FIR in 30 days under zero tolerance policy to erase this illegal trade from sub division city west. *Financial Investigation* of these accused is also going on under the supervision of SSP Jammu , SP city North and SDPO city west for further attachment of properties accumulated by these criminals from proceeds of narcotics.

Public is also requested to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
