*Chari Yatra Taken Out With Fervour in Poonch, Marking the Conclusion of the Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra*

_Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishavatmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj Leads the Holy Procession_

*Poonch, August 28, 2023* : In a display of deep devotion and spiritual fervour, the Chari Mubarak Yatra was triumphantly conducted in Poonch, marking the culmination of the revered Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra. Led by the esteemed Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishavatmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, the procession embarked from the Dashnami Akhara Mandir complex in Poonch, making its way to the sacred Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine at Rajpura, Mandi.

The Chari Mubarak Yatra commenced with a special Puja and Havan, accompanied by the resounding chants of Vedic Mantras, at the Akhara Mandir Poonch. Swami Vishavatmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, along with numerous religious luminaries, congregated for this auspicious occasion. Following the puja, a guard of honour was accorded to the holy mace, and the Yatra to Baba Budha Amarnath Ji temple commenced amidst the participation of hundreds of devotees from across the nation, who fervently offered prayers and chanted slogans in reverence to Lord Shiva.

Subsequently, a grand religious gathering was held at a nearby hall, where Swami Ji and other dignitaries delivered enlightening speeches on communal harmony, brotherhood, and peace in the region. The Chari Mubarak Yatra spanned a distance of 25 kilometers, with pilgrims making halts at various stalls arranged by locals, providing nourishment and refreshments.

The ancient Shrine of Lord Shiva, situated in the Himalayas, holds great significance as it is believed to be the place where Rishi Pulatsya, the grandfather of King Ravana of Lanka, engaged in worship for several decades. The Pulast River, flowing from the Loran-Mandi mountains of Pir Panjal (Himalayas) to Poonch, derives its name from this revered saint.

The Chari Mubarak was welcomed at Mandi with immense enthusiasm and spiritual zeal, as people from all faiths joined together in celebrating the procession. With resounding chants of Lord Shiva's name, the sacred Chari Mubarak was reverently carried to the Baba Budha Amarnath Ji Temple, where special prayers were conducted, enveloping the entire place in divine spirituality.

The Chari Mubarak will remain in the temple for two days and will be brought back on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. With this, the ten-day-long Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra concludes, leaving behind a trail of devotion and blessings.

The procession witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Hon'ble Member of Parliament for Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary, DIG Rajouri Poonch Range, Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Sharma, Addl. Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, former legislators, and many others, who actively participated in the joyous occasion.

Today DIG CRPF ,Jammu Range Rakesh Sethi ji along with his officers visited Navgraha Temple . They went around the temple for about half an hour and had darshan of the presiding deities .They feel fortunate to have had darshan of first very large Navgraha Temple in Jammu and Kashmir with largest Shiva Linga . After Darshan of Navgrah temple and performing a 'Rudrabhishek' puja and offering water on Shivling , they pay tributes to statue of Sher-e- Poonch Shree Yash Pal Sharma ji .

Today is the death anniversary of freedom fighter Madan Lal Dhingra. He is remembered for sustaining the freedom movement from outside the motherland. He was influenced by Shyamji Krishna Verma and VD Savarkar. Madan Lal was deeply troubled by the treatment metted out to Indians by the British Police, and he decided to take revenge.

He found out that William Hutt Curzon Wyllie was the Head of secret police because of whom, the freedom fighters in London were targetted. When the elder brother of Veer Savarkar was arrested, Dhingra decided to take revenge. On 1st July, 1909, Dhingra shot dead the british police officer Curzon Wyllie in a public gathering. He was immediately arrested and sentenced to death.

The brave freedom fighter was executed at Pentonville Prison on 17 August 1909. Even though he had a comfortable life due to his english education, Dhingra preferred to avenge the injustice done to his countrymen. He was aware of the consequences of his actions, and yet he took the plunge.
