JAMMU: Two talented students from Heritage School, Zain Bhat of Class V-E and Samar Dev Bansal of Class VI-C, have secured an impressive 2nd Rank in their respective categories at the 3rd JK UT Ranking Table Tennis Championship, held from 4th to 7th September 2024 at the M.A. Stadium.

Zain Bhat showcased his skills and determination in the Under-11 category, while Samar Dev Bansal delivered an exceptional performance in the Under-15 category.

In addition, Pranwat Singh of Class IX-C and Laksh Rajput of Class VI-B were recognized with consolation prizes for their efforts in the tournament.

Heritage School congratulates these young athletes on their outstanding achievement and wishes them continued success in their future endeavours.

Yudhvir Sethi ( BJP candidate from Jammu East ) , Chaman Kapoor ( Mayor Himachal) , Braham Jyot Satti ( Incharge BJP OBC Morcha ) along with other BJP leaders attended J*p Prayog spiritual Festival of Naamdhari at Naamdhari Gurudwara, Jewel , Jammu East .

Rajesh Dogra ( Mandal Vice President) , Harjeet Singh ( Shakti Kendra Pramukh ) , Gurmeet Singh ( Dimpy ), Prominent citizens and devotees were present on the occasion.

J*p Prayog is a spiritual Festival of Naamdhari Samaj and it lasts upto one month . During this festival devotees put themselves in eternal devotion.

In the Program firstly they paid Obeisance . Then they interacted with prominent Naamdhari devotees and locals of the area and assured them that BJP is the only political party who works for the public's interest and it is the only political party who raise the voice of Jammu .

Followers of Naamdhari Samaj were very happy and excited with this mandate and they said Yudhvir Sethi is a deserving candidate who is serving public for more than past 40 years and they know Yudhvir Sethi personally and they extended their support to Yudhvir Sethi from Jammu East in these upcoming assembly elections.

While addressing Yudhvir sethi extend greetings to whole naamdhari samaj regarding the month long J*p Prayog spiritual Festival and said BJP is party of nationalists who always works for well being of all segments of the society and all the public of Jammu east is like my family and i will take care everyone of them .

He highlighted the past of Jammu Kashmir and said a decade ago Kashmir was suffering from terrorism and situation started changing after 2014 when PM Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India and with in few years now Jammu Kashmir is almost terrorism free and hardcore militants has been buried under earth .

He said that the ideology of BJP is working for all segments of society and it knows the pain of every person and BJP is the only party that takes along all religions and classes rest of all parties works for a special province and special class .

He reminded the hard time of covid 19 and said at that time BJP workers worked as frontline warrior to provide basic amenities to our public and when all parties were locked them selves in thier homes bjp was only party who was working on ground level in hard of covid 19

Chaman Kapoor briefed various different schemes for OBCs which are running by Central Government and urged people to take benefit of these schemes and he said BJP's ideology is best for public .

He highlighted various development projects like Highways , Ring road , Railways etc and said it is possible by the dynamic vision of Our PM Narendra Modi.

Braham Jyot briefed about various beneficial schemes which are run by the Government just for needy people and the public should take benefit of these schemes .

He said these are the days when every party is luring public and having fake promises with them but BJP is only political party who thinks about general public and working hard to fullfill basic amenities of public.

He said Vote is biggest power of a citizen and it should be cast in the favour of Nationalist's Party because bjp is the only political party who is shielding hindus from international forces .

He said BJP OBC Morcha is working for all segments of society and Organising social tasks and serving humanity across Jammu Kashmir . BJP always follows the Ideology of Nation's First and this policy is better for India and its Citizens .

In view of assembly elections BJP OBC Morcha has started nukkad meetings from Jammu East and the first meeting was organised at ward no 17 Jammu East .

Chaman Kapoor ( Mayor , Manali, HP ) , Braham Jyot Satti ( Incharge BJP OBC Morcha JK - UT) were present in main in the program and Program was organised by Rakesh Pandey ( Mandal President OBC ) at New Plot .

Dist President obc Morcha Ashok salgotra , Perveen badyal (vice president obc ) , Ajay mehra (Mandal vice president obc) , Subash Prajapati (senior leader bjp) , Madan gopal toni (senior Bjp leader ) , Robin Kumar ( mandal president sc morcha ) and women marked their presence in this program.

AIIMS Jammu Starts Fundus Fluorescein Angiography Services

Jammu, August 27, 2024 – In a significant advancement for eye care in the region, the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu has officially launched Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) services at the Department of Ophthalmology. This new facility marks a major milestone in the institute's commitment to offering state-of-the-art medical care and advanced diagnostic services. The faculty in the Department, Dr. Bhavani Raina (Additional Professor), Dr. Nitin Kumar (Associate Professor), Dr. Nazia Anjum (Assistant Professor) and Dr Ridham Nanda (Assistant Professor), expressed their gratitude for the introduction of this new service and thanked Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, ED and CEO, AIIMS Jammu, for his encouragement and unending support.

With the introduction of wide-field FFA, AIIMS Jammu is poised to enhance the diagnostic capabilities available to patients in the region. Previously, individuals requiring this procedure had to travel long distances, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment. The availability of FFA at AIIMS Jammu will now provide timely and accurate diagnosis, allowing for better management of eye conditions and improving patient outcomes. This unit will help diagnose and plan treatment for various retinal and uvea diseases.

The procedure was performed in the specialised Retina lab at the Department of Ophthalmology under the supervision of Dr Nitin Kumar, Associate Professor, Ophthalmology Department at AIIMS Jammu. The optometrist team included Ms Bhavya Kapoor, Mr Sohail Sheikh and Mr Gagan Jha. A team of nursing officers assisted the clinician and optometrists in the Department of Ophthalmology in successfully conducting the diagnostic test. Dr. Nitin Kumar emphasized the importance of this new service. "The introduction of Fundus Fluorescein Angiography at AIIMS Jammu is a significant step forward in our mission to provide specialised eye care. This advanced imaging technique allows us to detect retinal diseases early, enabling us to offer prompt and effective treatment. The fundus camera installed at AIIMS Jammu can capture wide-field images and is one of the best equipment available in its segment. "
State-of-the-Art Technology

AIIMS Jammu has equipped its Ophthalmology Department with cutting-edge technology to perform FFA, ensuring high-quality imaging and precise diagnostic capabilities. The procedure involves injecting a fluorescent dye into the bloodstream, which then circulates through the blood vessels in the retina. Specialized cameras capture detailed images of the dye as it passes through these vessels, allowing ophthalmologists to identify abnormalities or blockages. This procedure is critical for diagnosing and managing a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other vascular disorders of the eye

The ED and CEO of AIIMS, Jammu, Prof (Dr) Shakti Gupta, emphasised that the introduction of FFA services is expected to benefit patients from Jammu and those from neighbouring regions, including parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This development aligns with AIIMS Jammu's broader goal of becoming a centre of excellence in healthcare and medical education in North India.

In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers under *Operation Sanjeevani* ,Jammu Police made a significant breakthrough on 24-08-2024. During naka checking at ware house area by team of PP Nehru Market found one suspicious person coming from upper belicharana area and during checking recovered 19 grams of he**in like narcotic substance from the possession of accused person namely Dushyant Kumar r/o Bari Brahmana, Samba.

On this FIR No. 170/2024 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS stands registered at PS Gandhinagar and investigation has been started, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.

The diligent efforts of the police team led by SHO Gandhinagar and ICPP Nehru Market culminated in the arrest of the accused.

Jammu Police urges all citizens to remain vigilant against the scourge of drugs and encourages them to report any suspicious activities promptly.

Today a list of star campaigners has been announced for the General Elections 2024 to Assembly Constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. Furthermore, the list comprising of forty names was submitted to the Secretary, Election Commission of India, New Delhi.

Aam Aadmi Party's State Spokesperson and member of the State Media Coordination Committee, Advocate Appu Singh is one of the five women to be announced as the ‘star campaigner for the General Elections 2024’.
