Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor,Jammu Police have arrested one bootlegger with 40 bottles of illicit liquor in the Jurisdiction of BPP Sandwan.

Police Party of BPP Sandwan led by IC BPP Sandwan apprehended one person namely *Vikram Singh S/o Beer Singh R/o Smailpur,Jammu and recovered 40* bottles of Jk Desi Whisky (180 ml each) from his possession.

In this connection,case under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation of case is in progress.

*General public has applauded the efforts of Police for taking firm action against bootlegger.*

*Police taking strict actions against Royal Enfield Bullet Bikes fitted with modified silencer in Pounichak area.*

*Jammu,22-12-2024.*

The Police Post Pounichak has seized/Challaned five Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles equipped with modified silencers and pressure horn’s that were causing noise pollution and public nuisance in the area. This action follows numerous complaints from residents disturbed by the loud noises produced by these modifications. Authorities have announced plans to extend enforcement efforts to other areas of Rural Zone of Jammu and *to target individuals and businesses involved in selling and installing these unauthorized silencers, in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act.*

It’s important to note that unauthorized modifications to vehicle silencers are illegal under the Motor Vehicles Act. Such alterations not only contribute to noise pollution but can also reduce the efficiency of the bike and pose safety risks.Authorities are urging vehicle owners to refrain from making such modifications and are warning of strict penalties for those who continue to violate these regulations.

Most wanted criminals absconded for a long, arrested by Police.
Samba Police apprehended a hardcore criminal namely Fareed Ali S/o Lal Hussain R/o Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba absconding in two heinous criminal cases FIR No. 111/2018 U/S 307/452/323/147 RPC and FIR No. 08/2021 U/S 376-D/323/366/504 IPC registered at Police Station Vijaypur. The said absconder was one of the main accused in the sensational gang r**e case of PS Vijaypur and was also involved in attacks on the police party at Rakh Barotian Vijaypur.

The said accused was also wanted/involved in multiple criminal cases registered at Police Station Samba, Police Station Vijaypur and Police Station Ramgarh which include:

1. FIR No. 111/2018 U/S 307/452/323/147 RPC of PS Vijaypyur

*SSP Jammu Held PCPG Meeting at Gujjar Basti, Rajpura, Kanachak.*

*Jammu, 20-12-2024.*

In order to strengthen the bond between the police and the public, a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was organized by Police Station Kanachak in the Rajpura area with the Gujjar community.The meeting saw the participation of over 100 prominent residents of the region.

The event was chaired by *SSP Jammu, Sh. Joginder Singh, JKPS, accompanied by SP Rural Jammu,Sh.Brijesh Sharma,JKPS,SDPO Domana, and SHO Kanachak.* Various issues were discussed during the meeting, some related to the police department and others to the civil administration.

Addressing the gathering, SSP Jammu assured the residents that their grievances would be resolved at the earliest. *He sought the community’s cooperation in tackling serious issues such as drug abuse, bovine smuggling, and theft incidents, emphasizing that some mischievous elements of the area are involved in such activities in District Jammu.*

The SSP highlighted the importance of education and encouraged the community to take advantage of government schemes designed for their upliftment.He also urged them to send their children for dairy farming training programs, which could provide additional livelihood opportunities and also adopt latest dairy technologies to boost their income .

As the area is located near the International Border (IB), SSP Jammu advised residents to remain vigilant and immediately inform the police in case of any suspicious movements, including persons or drones in the vicinity.

The community appreciated the efforts of Jammu Police in organizing such meetings, which play a vital role in bridging the gap between the police and the public.They also assured their full cooperation and support to the police department in maintaining law and order.

Asks youth to actively work towards preserving & promoting Dogri language in J&K

Jammu, December 19: Senior BJP leader and Incharge All Cells, BJP, J&K, Rakesh Mahajan unveiled the short Dogri movie Gharalu Hinsa, a thought-provoking cinematic endeavor by Nisha Production Jammu. Directed and written by the talented Nisha Gupta, the movie delves into the critical issue of domestic violence, aiming to ignite conversations and bring about social awareness.
The unveiling event, held in Jammu, was graced by prominent dignitaries and members of the artistic community. The movie features powerful performances by Suraj Bhagat and Nisha Gupta in the lead roles, with Akhil Arora handling the shoot and editing. The stunning visuals captured by photographer Sandy Shotra further enhance the film's impact.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Mahajan lauded the team’s efforts, stating, “Domestic violence is a grave issue that continues to plague our society. By addressing it through the medium of regional cinema, Nisha Gupta and her team have made an impactful contribution towards raising awareness. I commend their dedication and hope this film inspires many to speak out against this injustice.”
The senior BJP leader also laid stress upon promoting the Dogri language, which is a crucial part of Jammu’s rich cultural heritage. He urged the youth to actively work towards preserving and promoting Dogri language through various mediums, including literature, cinema, and social initiatives. “Our language is our identity, and it is our duty to ensure that Dogri thrives for generations to come,” he added.
Nisha Gupta, Director and Writer of the film, expressed her gratitude to Rakesh Mahajan and the audience for their support. “This film is not just a story; it’s a reflection of the harsh realities faced by many. I hope it resonates with people and encourages them to stand against domestic violence,” she said.
Prominent among those who were present included Ved Sharma, Co-incharge All Cells, BJP J&K, Parduman Singh, State Coordinator Retuning Office and Anju Dogra, Co-Coordinator Returning Office.
