Wynk Rewind is now live with India’s favourite music of 2023

Jammu, December 1, 2023: Wynk Music, India’s number 1 music streaming app by downloads and daily active users, today, unveiled its Wynk Rewind 2023 – announcing the top artists, albums and songs to have ruled the Indian music scene this year.

Wynk Rewind 2023 collates the top artists, albums, songs and playlists played on Wynk music over the course of a particular year. Powered by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm it draws out the music consumption patterns of users and offers Wynk users a personalised user experience on the app, delivering trends that offer a detailed view into listening patterns across total minutes streamed, favourite songs and artists, all of which can be shared across social media platforms.

This year’s Rewind carries special features such as the musical zodiac, a receive activity badge based on fan consumption that helps fans get to know who they are superfans of. Additionally, it will also present Wynk listeners with a special playlist featuring all their top songs along with a special message video featuring their favourite artist.

Wynk Studio — India’s largest music distribution ecosystem for independent artists — now has over 1300 artists. 55% of these artists come from non-metro cities including cities in the Northeast, highlighting how the platform has functioned as an enabler to offer these artists a creative outlet while solving monetisation and discovery issues for them. Aditya Rikhari in Hindi, Mali in English, Harsha Prawin in Telugu, AR Anandh in Tamil, Dheemusix in Kannada and Raj Burman in Bengali are some of the leading indie artists of the year.

NIFD organises One Day Seminar on 'Design your Career'

JAMMU, SEP 14: National Institute of Fashion Designing (NIFD) organised a one day seminar on " Design your career Design your life" in academic collaboration with Padam Shri Padma Sachdeva Govt Women Post Graduate College Gandhinagar Jammu on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of Women College Gandhinagar, Prof Meenu Mahajan said , "the seminar is under Academic collaboration/linkage program organised under academic collaboration."
Fashion designing is emerging as the most attractive field for young energetic resources, she added.
Today's seminar was all about the spread awareness regarding career in fashion designing, Principal mentioned.
NIFD Chairperson Vanita Thakur said, "NIFD is committed to provide the platform to the youth who are ready to explore the Fashion Designing field."
For the last many years youth are making their career in Fashion designing field as it provide more stability as well as financial and social security to youth, Thakur added.

Mr Pallab Bose a motivational speaker, career coach and show host he talked about the urgency for girls to excel .He gave tips on how to excel in this new world post COVID where setting ones goals and choosing ones career path is of vital importance , he left no stone unturned to motivate the audience present there.

Skill and talent in fashion designing play an important role to get a better career option there, She added.
In the coming days more seminars are going to be organised as it helps NIFD to connect with the deserving human resources, Thakur added.

Campaign to ensure expeditious redressal of Water, Power and Land related grievances

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 30: While reviewing public service oriented Jal Shakti Department, Power Development Department and Revenue Department with all Deputy Commissioners, the Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta today directed observance of ‘BhrashtachaarMukt J&K’ week from 4th to 10th September across all 20 districts.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home; ACS, Jal Shakti Department; Principal Secretary, Power; Director ACB, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir/Jammu; Commissioner Secretary IT, besides, all Deputy Commissioners and District Superintendents of Police.
During interaction with DCs, it was observed that although there were no complaints regarding the contract allocation under the scheme as these were allocated through e-tendering and no contracts have been awarded arbitrarily. This was confirmed by Principal Secretary Jal Shakti Department. It was also noted that there are only 4 complaints of very petty and local nature which have been received by ACB till date, one related to deployment of number of persons by a PSU, one without any specifics, another related to antecedent of some workers and last related to early completion.
Principal Secretary, Jal Shakti further elaborated that all payments are made after proper physical verification and checks by third party exclusively through PFMS portal. Also, all the details about completed and ongoing projects are available on IMIS portal being monitored by GoI. The CS accordingly directed that all the completed and ongoing projects be put in public domain for their scrutiny as well in a simple manner at District level as well.
Dr Mehta further issued directions regarding resolving issues raised against the installation of Smart Meters. He underscored the importance of massive campaigns along with public outreach for awareness regarding Smart meters and steps to address any concerns related to readings.
While stressing upon the transparent and accountable governance, the Chief Secretary issued directions for the launch of “Brashtachar Mukt J&K campaign” throughout the UT. The campaign aims at reiterating the government’s resolve to ensure a corruption free Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign is primarily meant to focus on the hassle free delivery of services related to water and electricity, besides addressing matters pertaining to land.
The Chief Secretary emphasized on active participation of all the concerned officials/officers along with PRIs and public during the campaign. The CS added that all Prabhari Officers shall ensure that the matters of public importance pertaining to their Panchayats/wards/areas are flagged and appropriately addressed during the week.
The CS further directed IT Department to institute feedback mechanism using Google form application, and to coordinate with the concerned departments to ensure proper record of grievances/complaints, if any. Furthermore, in order to dissuade frivolous complaints, action under relevant laws shall be undertaken. The Chief Secretary called upon people to participate actively in the process so that goal of corruption free Governance can be achieved.
To ensure the success of the campaign, the Chief Secretary underscored the importance of feedback from all PRIs, Pani-Samitisetc with regard to certification, saturation of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), settlement of electricity meter related issues and resolution of land revenue matters. He advised all departments to be firm in resolve to make J&K corruption free as envisaged by the LG Administration. He reaffirmed that push towards digital Governance was a key element in providing cleanest system ever in the UT.

Two US nationals undertake Amarnath Yatra this season

Inspired by the Swami Vivekananda, the ongoing annual Amarnath Yatra featured two foreigners who performed the rituals at the holy cave.

Two foreign nationals from California, United States (US) have fulfilled a 40-year-old dream by undertaking the holy pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra. The duo recount Swami Vivekananda’s visit to Amarnath.

The foreign pilgrims, who undertook the yatra, said it is not possible to express their joy and happiness after performing the darshan of Lord Shiva’s Ice Lingam.
“It seemed impossible and was a dream to come here. But by Bholenath’s grace, everything came together and here we are…We can’t explain how we feel,” says a pilgrim from California, US, adding that it was a dream come true for them.

“With the blessings of Bhole Baba, this time we managed to visit and we are feeling completely blessed,” he said.

“Swami Vivekananda came to Amarnath; he had a very important experience. I have known of this story for 40 years. It was a dream to come here,” another pilgrim said.

He said they are filled with gratitude and happiness, adding that the organisation that keeps this yatra together is very impressive.

“There is a particular kind of peace that prevails in these mountains. We hope this kind of peace can prevail everywhere,” he added. (KNO)

CS calls Lohia's death untimely & unfortunate
SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 07: Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta today held a meeting to condole the demise of Director General, Prisons, Hemant Kumar Lohia at Civil Secretariat here.
All the Administrative Secretaries and senior officers participated in the meeting. Those stationed at Jammu and Delhi participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
Remembering the deceased, Chief Secretary remarked that nobody deserves such an mishap in his/her life. He called his death untimely and unfortunate. He stated that at this time of grief and irreparable loss whole administration stands in solidarity with the bereaved family.
Dr Mehta eulogised his role in the department and called him a very fine, able and astute police officer. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to family.
Others also reminisced about their interactions with the departed DG. They called him a very down to earth, sincere and a patient person. They prayed for the family to have patience to bear this loss.
On the occasion the gathering also held 2 minutes silence to mark the death of the DG.
