DODA POLICE SEIZED PASSANGER VEHICLE FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS.
Continuing its drive against the traffic violators, Doda Police has seized (01) vehicle for its involvement in violation of traffic laws in Gandoh area.
Giving details, Doda Police said that one the basis of reliable information to the effect that one vehicle Sumo bearing registration No. JK02AG-6619 being driven by driver namely Tousif Ahmed son of Syed Ahmed resident of Trankal Tehsil Kahara was on way from Gandoh towards Kahara in a rash and negligent manner, thus putting the vehicle /travelers travelling in the area in high risk besides endangering the life of passengers. Acting swiftly on the information, a police party of Police Station Gandoh under the supervision of Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday SHO PS Gandoh seized the vehicle and while conducting checking, the vehicle was found overloaded beyond the seating capacity.
In this connection, case FIR No. 28/2024 under relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Gandoh and investigation started up.
Doda Police is appealed the general public to cooperate with the Police and provide information / inputs if any driver is noticed driving rashly, negligently or any kind of traffic violation is noticed, stringent action will be taken by Police which will lead to suspension of driving license, vehicle documents besides registration of FIR against the erring drivers.

NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER HELD WITH NARCOTICS FROM GANDOH AREA.
In a statement issued by Doda Police, A police party of Police Station Gandoh was on patrolling in Tippri Khaljugasar area of Gandoh. The patrolling party observed suspicious movement of one person who was coming from Khaljugasar side and on seeing the police party he tried to flee from the spot. Acting swiftly the police party apprehended him and on preliminary enquiry he disclosed his name as Maan Raj son of Bodh Singh resident of Seru Khaljugasar Tehsil Gandoh. During search, charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 25/2024 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation of the case set into motion. The backward /forward links are being ascertained during course of investigation.
Doda Police has continued its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers as an effort to eradicate the menace of drug and has appealed the general public to cooperate with Police and provide inputs if any drug peddling or any drug addiction is noticed in their neighborhood so that action could be taken against such offenders.
