XRay machine at NTPHC Qalamabad turns functional; Tulwari gets mobile connectivity; admin order's restoration of vital bridges in Kupwara; Water tankers arrives in Hampora village; locals thank Mir Junaid.

Handwara May 07: After the intervention of Mir Junaid, the authorities responded swiftly to the demands as the XRay machine at NTPCH Qalamabad has been made functional. The said machine was lying defunct from several months.

Similarly several delegations from Langate Tulwari called on Mir Junaid, who apprised him about poor mobile connectivity, to which Mir Junaid took up the matter with concern administration for early readdressal.

Responding positively, the administration restored the mobile connectivity at Tulwari in less than 48 hour's.

Likewise, the residents of Qaziabad Humpora village who claimed the area is having acute water paucity from many year's, approached Mir Junaid this week and sought his personal intervention to provide portable drinking water and proper electric supply. Mir Junaid took up the matter with administration who acted promptly and supplied water tankers to the area.

The shortage of electric poles will be fulfilled very soon, Mir Junaid assured the residents of Hampora.

The district administration Kupwara also ordered the restoration work over the vital bridges, who got damaged due to recent flash floods.

Mir Junaid's persistent efforts and personal intervention have successfully, brought great relief to the people of the Langate villages.

Residents of Tulwari had been struggling to use their phones due to the poor network connectivity in the area. The situation had become so severe that people were unable to make or receive calls, affecting their daily lives and business operations.

However, Mir Junaid, who is known for his commitment to community service and social work, took it upon himself to address the issue. He tirelessly worked towards restoring the Jio Network in the area, and after his intervention the network was finally restored.

The Langate villages expressed their gratitude towards Mir Junaid for his unwavering efforts and dedication towards resolving their genuine grievances in time bound manner.

The locals lauded Mir Junaid's efforts and dedication towards the service of the people.

Meanwhile Mir Junaid thanked the LG administration for timely attention and readdressal of problems people are facing in Langate.

"I would be continuing raising the genuine issues of people for early attention and will seek solution at every level of UT administration," he added.

KUPWARA, MAY 4: District administration Kupwara has roped in different religious leaders, ulemas of Masjids, and other religious institutions of Kupwara district to spread awareness at grass root level about the negative impact of drug abuse in the society.
On the directions of Deputy Commisioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray a Conference of Ulemas, Imams (religious leaders) was held today at conference Hall of DC Office complex Kupwara.
Well attended Conference was chaired by Additional Deputy Commisioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gh. Nabi Bhat.
While addressing the conference ADC Kupwara appealed to religious leaders, ulemas , and Imams to use their voluntary services for spreading awareness about drug abuse and its consequences in society.
ADC appealed Molvis to aware people to eradicate the drug menace and deliver the sermons particularly on Fridays, and after every prayer so that awareness about negative effects of drug abuse, and drug trafficking menace is generated and spread at the ground level and Drug Addict Patients are properly identified, treated and rehabilitated.
ADC Kupwara said that District Adminstration is focusing on multi-pronged strategy to combat menace of drug abuse in Kupwara district. Police has launched a massive crackdown on drug peddlers, drug traffickers to break the supply chain of drugs, and District adminstration is counciling, treating, and Rehabilitating the drug abuse victims.

Irfan Bahadur , Assistant Commisioner Revenue(ACR)Kupwara on the ocasion said that religious leaders can play pivotal role in in sensitizing the people about disastrous effects of substance abuse.
Drug-Free-Kupwara is a challenge in which every individual has to play his or her vital role. The District Administration also encourages religious and social leaders to work in this direction.
Raising concerns on alarming situation in substance abuse, ACR Kupwara said that Kashmir Valley is slowly becoming India's drug hub. A recent study has revealed that J&K is currently at the number two position among the top drug abuser states in the country.
Several Ulemas and Imams also expressed their concern over the rising drug abuse and it's consequences. They reaffirmed that they will play their role in disseminating awareness to people about negative impacts from the podiums of Masjids and other religious places, So that youth are safeguarded from dangerous exposure to different kind of drug abuse.
While welcoming the District Adminstration's efforts to invite them for this noble cause different Religious Leaders said that they are ready to help the District Adminstration to eradicate this menace and make the Kupwara drug-addiction and drug trafficking free.
Participants shared their healthy feed back for eradicating the drug menace from the society.
Conference was attended by CMO Kupwara, other officers of Adminstration, a large number of Imams of Masjids, Ulemas from different Darul-Ulooms and other religious institutions of the district.

DDC Kupwara chairs Gram Sabha at Manigah Hyhamafor GPDP preparation

KUPWARA, APRIL 10: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today chaired a well attended Gram Sabha at far flung Panchayat Manigah-C in Kupwara district.
Addressing the gathering, the DDC said that Gram Sabhas were held in all 385 panchayats of Kupwara district today and the objective of holding the Gram Sabhas was approval of Gram Panchayat Developmental Plan (GPDP) for financial year 2023-24. He said the GPDP is the basic platform for the holistic development of villages. This public participatory process involves full convergence of centrally sponsored schemes and UT level schemes for registering overall development at grass root level.
In his speech, the DDC familiarized the people with the concept of GPDP and said that this system has revolutionized the rural economy of the district. He said gone are the days when people used to visit officers for resolving their developmental issues adding that today all officers are participating in Gram Sabhas in the Panchayats at the doorsteps of the people.
The DDC gave a detailed account of success of Government schemes at ground level including AYUSMAN Bharat, PMGSY, PM-KISSAN and JJM. He said the doors of administration and officers are always open for the common people to hear and redress their issues.
On the occasion, the DDC also resolved various issues by giving onspot directions to the officers.
The DDC Member Hyhama, Haji Sonaullah, ACD Kupwara, Hilal Ahmad Mir and PRIs also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Gram Panchayat Development Plan proposed by Panchayat Committee was put forth before general public for deliberate discussion & approval.
Gram Sabhas were also held in all Panchayats of the district which were attended by Prabhari Officers, PRIs, officers of line departments, field functionaries and general public.
