BJP pays floral tributes to Savitribai Phule
Mahila Morcha, J&K BJP led by its President Smt. Sanjita Dogra, paid floral tributes to legendary social reformer Savitribai Phule on her birth anniversary at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sh. Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP, Smt. Priya Sethi, BJP NEM & Headquarter Incharge, Smt. Veenu Khanna, Secretary, J&K BJP and many senior leaders of Mahila Morcha paid tributes on the occasion.
Sh. Sat Sharma, while paying tributes, said that born in 1831 in Maharashtra, Savitribai Phule led a strong movement against the unbending society, during a time when women and certain castes were not given education and oppressed. She began this process with reforms in education, caste equality, and women empowerment along with her husband, Jyotirao Phule. He said that the combined efforts from both of them were the beginning of progressive changes that are still occurring up to the present time. He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is also working on the mission mode to achieve a society that is free from the social evils.
Smt. Priya Sethi, in her address said that Savitri Bai Phule also committed herself to social causes beyond women’s education. She worked tirelessly for the cause of self-respect of the Dalits who were suffering at that time. She made the society aware of the plight of Dalits. She opposed untouchability and worked towards molding society to become more inclusive and equitable.
Smt. Sanjita Dogra, in her address said that, said families and societies could tread the path of progressive ideals only through women's education, something for which both Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule underwent a lot of struggle, pain and hardships.

Along with this, Amit Shukla Pandit ji told that on the coming 10th January, on the occasion of Vaikunt Ekadashi, ceremony will be done at the Balaji Temple and this anointment will be done in the morning only. Its significance is very good, in which the doors of Vaikunt Prapti are opened. Whoever participates in this Abhishek Ceremony attains Vaikunth and it has great significance because on this occasion the doors of Uttar are opened and darshan is done from there. It is an appeal to the people of Jammu to come to the Balaji Temple on 10th January and take part in the Abhishek This anointment will be done early in the morning only. Jai Govinda.
