You are married to a girl of your choice. I didn't get the girl I loved & rather ended up marrying those who wanted me or the ones I rescued from demons.

I had to move my whole community from the banks of Yamuna to far off Sea shore to save them from Jarasandh. I was called a coward for running away!!

If Duryodhana wins the war you will get a lot of credit. What do I get if Dharmaraja wins the war? Only the blame for the war and all related problems...

Remember one thing, Karna. Everybody has Challenges in life to face.

LIFE IS NOT FAIR & EASY ON ANYBODY!!!

But what is Right (Dharma) is known to your Mind (conscience). No matter how much unfairness we got, how many times we were Disgraced, how many times we Fall, what is important is how you REACTED at that time.

ଉତ୍କଳ ଦିବସ Utkal Divas (Odisha day) is celebrated on 1st April across Odisha in the memory of the formation of the state as a separate province on 1 April 1936.

After demise of the last Odia king Mukund Dev in 1568, our state had been ruled by Mughals, Nawabs, Marathas and British. However there was no presence of Odisha state name in political map then. Nobody was ready to accept that we Odias deserved a state rather than representing Bengal, MP or Andhra Pradesh.
"Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das founded a Odia social and cultural organisation named Utkal Sammilani in 1903 to unite all Odia. A revolution was started by them which continued for three decades under the leadership of Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Das, Utkala Mani Gopabandhu Das, Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati, Pandita Nilakantha Das, Fakir Mohan Senapati, Gangadhar Meher, Basudeba Sudhaladeba, Radhanath Ray, Bhubanananda Das, A. P. Patro and many others with the support of the public."

Finally British gave up and accepted Odisha as a province of India ruled by them. It was 1st April 1936 when Odisha entered in state list of INDIA with 6 districts only. Now we got 30 districts.

Unfortunately Madhu Babu (Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Das) passed away on 1934, 2 years before his dream came true. We Odia will always remember the great movement done by our forefathers, we are proud of them. We are proud of our motherland.

ମନେପଡ଼େ ସେଇ ମହାନ ଗୁରୁଙ୍କ କଥା
ଅାଜି ଗୁରୁ ଦିବସ । ଗୁରୁଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜା, ସ୍ମରଣ ଓ ଗୁରୁଙ୍କ ଅାଦର୍ଶରେ ନିଜକୁ ଅନୁପ୍ରାଣିତ କରିବାର ଏକ ପବିତ୍ର ଅବକାଶ । ୧୮୮୮ ମସିହା ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ଅାଜିର ଦିନରେ ଭାରତର ପୂର୍ବତନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଡଃ ସର୍ବପଲ୍ଲୀ ରାଧାକ୍ରିଷ୍ଣନ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମଦିନ ପାଳନ ଲାଗି ବହୁ ଛାତ୍ର ଅନୁମତି ମାଗିବାରୁ ତାଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମଦିନକୁ ଗୁରୁଦିବସ ଭାବେ ପାଳିବା ପାଇଁ ରାଧାକ୍ରିଷ୍ଣନ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।

୧୯୬୨ ମସିହାଠାରୁ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ୫ ତାରିଖକୁ ଏହି ବରେଣ୍ୟ ଗୁରୁଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଦିବସକୁ ଅାମ ଦେଶରେ ଗୁରୁ ଦିବସ ଭାବେ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଉଛି । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଅାଜି ରାଜ୍ୟର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଶିକ୍ଷାନୁଷ୍ଠାନରେ ଗୁରୁ ଦିବସ ପାଳୁଛନ୍ତି ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ।

ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ୫ ତାରିଖକୁ ଆମେ ଗୁରୁ ଦିବସ ଭାବେ ପାଳନ କରିଥାନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଦିନରେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ତଥା ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବର୍ଗର ଲୋକ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଶିକ୍ଷୟତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସମ୍ମାନ ଓ ଭକ୍ତି ଜଣାଇଥାନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମାଜରେ ଗୁରୁମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନ ସବୁବେଳେ ଆଗରେ ରହିଆସିଛି। କାରଣ ଗୁରୁମାନେ ହିଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ୟମ ବଳରେ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ରୂପକ ଅନ୍ଧାରରୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ରୂପକ ଆଲୋକକୁ ଆମକୁ ବାଟ କଢାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତ ଗୁରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାଜର ମେରୁଦଣ୍ଡ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଇଥାଏ। ସେମିତି ଇତିହାସର କେତେଜଣ ଗୁରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଆଜି ବି ମନେ ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି। ଆସନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଗୁରୁ ଦିବସରେ ସେହି ମହାନ ଗୁରୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ

ଦ୍ରୋଣାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ– କୌରବ ଓ ପାଣ୍ଡବ ମାନଙ୍କ ଗୁରୁଥିବା ଦ୍ରୋଣାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଭାରତୀୟ ଇତିହାସରେ ମହାନ ଗୁରୁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଅନ୍ୟତମ। କୁହାଯାଏ ଦ୍ରୋଣାଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଉତ୍ତରାଖଣ୍ଡର ଡେରାଡୁନ୍‌ରେ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ସେ କୌରବ ଓ ପାଣ୍ଡବ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧନୁର୍ବିଦ୍ୟା ଶିଖାଉଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ବିଦ୍ୟାଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଅର୍ଜୁନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣେ ପରାକ୍ରମୀ ଯୋଦ୍ଧା କରିପାରିଥିଲେ। ଏହାଛଡା ତାଙ୍କର ବିଦ୍ୟା ଦ୍ୱାରା ହିଁ ଏକଲବ୍ୟ ଧନୁ ଚାଳନାରେ ପ୍ରବୀଣ ହୋଇପାରିଥିଲେ।

ଗୁରୁ ବଶିଷ୍ଠ– ଗୁରୁ ବଶିଷ୍ଠ ରାଜା ଦଶରଥଙ୍କ ଚାରି ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କର ଗୁରୁଥିଲେ। ବଶିଷ୍ଠଙ୍କ କଥାରେ ହିଁ ରାକ୍ଷସ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦଶରଥ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଋଷି ବିଶ୍ୱାମିତ୍ରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆଶ୍ରମକୁ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ। ଗୁରୁ ବଶିଷ୍ଠଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା ହେବା ବ୍ୟତିତ ଯେଉଁ ସମ୍ମାନ ମିଳୁଥିଲା, ରାଜାଙ୍କ ପଦ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେଠାରେ ଛୋଟ ଲାଗୁଥିଲା।

ମହର୍ଷି ବେଦବ୍ୟାସ– ବେଦବ୍ୟାସ ମହାଭାରତର ରଚୟତା ଥିଲେ। ମହର୍ଷି ବେଦବ୍ୟାସଙ୍କର ଜନ୍ମ ତ୍ରେତୟା ଯୁଗର ଶେଷ ଆଡକୁ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ସେ ପୁରା ଦ୍ୱାପର ଯୁଗ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଜୀବିତ ଥିଲେ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ। ମହର୍ଷି ବେଦବ୍ୟାସ କେବଳ ମହାଭାରତର ରଚୟତା ନଥିଲେ ସେ ଏହାର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ଥିଲେ।

ପର୍ଶୁରାମ– ପର୍ଶୁରାମଙ୍କୁ ଭଗବାନ ବିଷ୍ଣୁଙ୍କର ଷଷ୍ଠ ଅବତାର ବୋଲି ଗଣାଯାଏ। ପ୍ରବଳ ପ୍ରତାପୀ ପର୍ଶୁରାମ ଯେମିତି ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶ କ୍ରମେ ନିଜ ମାତାଙ୍କର ଗଳା କାଟିଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେମିତି ମଧ୍ୟ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ମାତାଙ୍କୁ ଜୀବିତ କରାଇବା ବର ମାଗିନେଇଥିଲେ। ଗୁରୁଭାବେ ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭୀଷ୍ମ, ଦ୍ରୋଣ ଓ କର୍ଣ୍ଣଙ୍କ ଭଳି ମହାରଥୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଦ୍ୟାଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇଥିଲେ।

ଚାଣକ୍ୟ– ଚାଣକ୍ୟ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଗୁପ୍ତ ମୌର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କର ମହାମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ କୌଟିଲ୍ୟ ନାମରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଣାଥିଲେ। ଚାଣକ୍ୟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଏକ ନୀତିଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ‘ଚାଣକ୍ୟ ନୀତି’ ବି ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ହେଉଛି। ସେ ନନ୍ଦ ବଂଶକୁ ଧ୍ୱଂସ କରିବା ସହିତ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଗୁପ୍ତ ମୌର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା ବନାଇଥିଲେ।

ଜେବେ ସେ ରୋଷେଇ ଦୁଆର ପାଖରେ ଅପରିଚିତ ଭାବରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଏ , ତେବେ ସେ ପର ଲାଗେ .....

ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସରେ କେବଳ ପୁଲିସ ଓ ପାରାମିଲିଟାରୀ ଭାବ ନେବେ ବୋଲି ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜସ୍ୱ ଉପଖଣ୍ଡ ଆୟୁକ୍ତ ଓ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳମାନଙ୍କୁ ନୋଟିସ ଜାରି କରାଯାଇଛି। ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗର ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ସଚିବ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସମସ୍ତ ଆରଡିସି ଓ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳଙ୍କୁ ମଙ୍ଗଳବାର ଏଭଳି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶନାମ ଜାରି କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏଭଳି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଛି ରାଜ୍ୟ ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗ। ଏନେଇ ସବୁ ଆରଡିସି ଓ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖି ଅବଗତ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଗୃହ ବିଭାଗର ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ସଚିବ ସନ୍ତୋଷ ବାଲା। ବର୍ଷା ବିତ୍ପାତକୁ ଆଖିରେ ରଖି ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ଏକ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଛନ୍ତି।

ମିନି ମାରାଥନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ପାଇଁ BYV ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଶେଷ ପଯ୍ୟାୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିବା ସତ୍ୱେ ଏହି ମିନି ମାରାଥନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ବାତିଲ କରିବାକୁ ପଡୁଛି। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମେ ବୋହୁ ଦୁଃଖିତ । ଆଶାକରୁଁ ଆପଣ ମାନେବି ଏହି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତ କୁ ସହମତି ଜଣାଇବେ।
