Jaipur-The PinkCity of India for its trademark building color, capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city has been named. It is Located at a distance of 260 km from the Indian capital New Delhi. Total Area of Jaipur - 484.64 square km (187.12 sq mi). The main language of Jaipur is Rajasthani. Dhundhari, Marwari, Hindi and English are also spoken in the city. During the rule of Sawai Ram Singh, the city was painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, in 1876. Many of the avenues remained painted in pink, giving Jaipur a distinctive appearance and the epithet Pink city. Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and mostly famous for top tourist places like - Jal Mahal, Birla Mandir, Nahargarh Fort, Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Jaigarh Fort etc. Jaipur is also famous for typical dishes include Dal Baati Churma, Missi Roti, Gatte ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri, and Bajre ki Roti.
