Adapting is a basic survival skill.

Since Bhutan is planning to open its borders on September 23rd, it will be written as a historical event. It’s been two years since the Indo-Bhutan gate was closed due to the COVID situation. People in both countries has came a long way in fighting against this situation. We have learned to live and earn in new and different ways.

Our country has been supporting Bhutan since our independence; our government sees Bhutan as a very important ally and will keep on helping in every possible way.

Now let’s talk about a small town near Phuentsholing Bhutan, Jaigaon. Due to COVID, this town has seen its hard days. It was tough for every individual. Business in Jaigaon has been dependent on Bhutanese customers. 50 to 60% of the revenue was from Bhutanese customers.

Positive Outcome: Post-covid Jaigaon is now developing into a regional tourist hub, with weekend visitors from Birpara, Alipurduar, Coochibihar, and Guwahati. Places like riverside cafés, swimming pools, and rooftop cafés are successful in attracting local tourists from these places. Known or unknowing, we are changing the course of this town, turning it into a tourist destination. People love to come here. Visit these places on weekdays and you won’t find a place to sit. I see it as a new beginning for the people of Jaigaon, a ray of hope.

To bring change and make this growing industry sustainable, I would like to request our government to encourage and support regional tourism and to build Jaigaon as a tourist destination for which we don’t have to rely on others. The public should also build a sense of reasonability to keep this town clean. When people visit, they should feel joy. They should see how clean and green Jalgaon is. We have to make it happen; it’s the right time to take these major steps to support this change. It has huge potential.

Now the question is, "What's going to happen after the gate opens up?"
Bhutan is implementing new rules like 1200.00 per day/per head SDF charges for tourists. There is a pass system for Bhutanese to enter India, and they have to pay tax on goods purchased from India.
Likewise, we should support our own growing tourism industry. People from Jaigaon are known for drinking and enjoying nightlife on the other side of the town. Instead of going there, we should support local businesses.

We should use the help of digital marketing. Simply posting photos online of this tourist site will encourage people to visit Jaigaon. We should take it as our one and only shot. To bring the change we were looking for. Adapting is a basic survival skill.

She was a Math teacher in Mallapuram Kerala. One day her student saw her begging near Railway Station but didn't recognize her properly. But then the student realised thats her class teacher.

When she spoke to her, She said after I retired my children left me and shes homeless since then. So she started begging infront of the Railway Station.

The student cried and took her home and gave good clothing, food and planned for her accomodation. Then she contacted every school friend who studied with her. And took her to a better place to live.

Her own children left her but the children whom she taught they didn't left.

That is the greatness of Guru Shishya parampara.

This picture was taken in the Nigeria Hospital. A cancer patient carrying a bag full of money asked the doctor to save her life and she has plenty of money to pay him. But the doctor said he cannot do anything as her cancer is in the final stage.

She was so angry and frustrated that she threw the money across the hospital's entire corridor. Shouting "what`s the use of having the money" "what is the use of having the money." "Money cannot buy health, money to buy time, money cannot buy life."
