: Two Arunachali Girls Attacked in Guwahati in a Racial Incident

Guwahati, August 28 : Two young women from Arunachal Pradesh were attacked in Guwahati on Wednesday evening in what seems to be a racially motivated incident. The attack happened in the Japorigog area of the city.
The first girl, who was returning from a coaching class, was approached by a man in his 30s
around 5 PM. The man asked her, "Where are you from?" When she said she was from
Arunachal Pradesh, he suddenly started kicking and punching her, shouting, "Why is Arunachal against me?" She managed to escape, but the man then targeted another Arunachali girl who works at a hospital.
He asked her the same question and, after hearing she was from Arunachal, grabbed her by
the hair and dragged her while hitting her.
People nearby saw what was happening but were too scared to help. The police were called,but they arrived late, and the attacker had already run away. The girls have filed a complaint with the police, and an investigation is ongoing.
This incident has caused a lot of worry among Arunachali girls living in Guwahati and their families. They hope this is an isolated case and that measures will be taken to ensure the safety of Arunachali girls in the city.

PM MODI Praises Arunachal Pradesh Couple Nabam Bapu and Likha Nana for Innovative uses of 3D Printing to Protect Wildlife
New Delhi, Aug 25: In his latest "Mann Ki Baat" address on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the youth of Arunachal Pradesh for their innovative use of 3D printing technology to protect wildlife.

Highlighting their commendable work, the Prime Minister shared how young individuals from the state have taken significant steps to prevent the poaching of animals for their horns and tusks.

PM Modi specifically mentioned the efforts led by Nabam Bapu and Likha Nana, who have pioneered a team using 3D printing to create replicas of animal parts, such as horns and teeth. This initiative aims to provide an alternative that reduces the demand for poaching, thereby safeguarding wildlife. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of such creative solutions in preserving both the environment and cultural heritage.

He further explained that these 3D-printed replicas are not only being used to replace traditional animal parts but are also being fashioned into dress accessories and other items using biodegradable materials. Praising these efforts, PM Modi expressed hope that more startups would emerge in this field, ensuring the protection of wildlife while keeping cultural traditions alive.

In his speech, the Prime Minister called for greater appreciation and support for such innovative projects, underscoring their potential to make a significant impact in the conservation of wildlife and the promotion of sustainable practices.
