Arunachal Pradesh:: In West Siang Dsitrict, the B.ed Trainees of the Teachers Training college, Aalo organized a ‘voters’ awareness programme’ at Aalo to help raise awareness of voting and the benefits of doing so. Various activities were conducted during programmes including a workshop, speeches, processions, Printing of banners, slogans, songs, dance, skit and drama. The programme was also joined and supported by the SVEEP Aalo and Nari Awaz. The event received enormous encouragement and positive feedback from the people. People were seen participating in the activities by singing and dancing along the trainees.

Oriah, the main festival of Wancho tribe, is being celebrated with tradition and enthusiasm across the state today. Many dignitaries including Governor Lieutenant General (retd) KT Paranaik, First Lady of the state Anagha Paranaik and many other dignitaries were present at the Oriah Festival function organized at Senki Park, Tirap-Changlong Longding Festival Ground in the capital Itanagar. In his address, the Governor said that indigenous festivals like Oriah are carrying forward their tradition and cultural heritage from generation to generation through music, folk dance and rituals. He said that indigenous festivals are making an important contribution in keeping the cultural diversity and traditions of Arunachal alive. The Governor laid emphasis on promoting Vocal for Local and establishing a drug-free and peaceful society

In the employment fair organized at the North East Frontier Headquarters of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force ITBP located in Khathing Hills, Itanagar, Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju presented appointment letters to twenty-three newly appointed candidates in various departments and ministries of the Central Government. In his address, Shri Rijiju said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid special attention to creating employment opportunities. He said that apart from the government sector, the government's schemes related to infrastructure development are also creating employment opportunities on a large scale in the private sector. The 47th birth anniversary of Martyr Kansa was celebrated by the 30th battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal-SSB at Dirang in West Kameng district. He was born in Angu village of West Siang district on February 4, 1924 and was martyred in a militant incident during election duty in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2002.
