In a matter of immense pride for the state, Tage Rita, the founder of Arunachal-based winery, Naara Aaba, clinched a cheque worth 75 lakhs from entrepreneur Vineeta Singh, founder of Sugar Cosmetics on the reality television show ‘Shark Tank India’.
Launched in the year 2017, Naara Aaba is India’s first organic kiwi winery founded upon the vision of preserving organically harvested kiwis of Arunachal Pradesh and resuscitating the local farming community by utilising their harvest for wine-making.

2nd Edition of KJMPPL concludes today
The grand finale of the second edition of Kangir Jamoh Memorial Pasighat Premier League (KJMPPL) was held on Monday 6th February 2023. In the final match which kickstarted at noon at the J.N. College playground in Arunachal’s East Siang district, the Sika Football Club (SFC) locked horns with the Bogong Soccer Club (BSC).
The league is organised as a tribute to Kangir Jamoh by the Adi Ba:ne Kebang and Abor Youth Foundation in collaboration with the East Siang district administration, District Olympic Association and District Football Association.
In the exhibition match of KJMPPL played between DC XI and ABK XI, the DC XI emerged victorious with a score of 4-0.

#BreakingNews | In a first, woman army officer Captain Shiva Chauhan of the Fire and Fury Corps has been operationally deployed on the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battlefield.
Captain Chauhan, whose career initiated as a lieutenant in the Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army has been inducted for a period of three months at the Kumar post, located at an altitude of around 15,600 feet in Siachen, where she will be leading the team of Sappers entrusted with the task of carrying out various combat engineering assignments.
Captain Chauhan’s selection journey to the Siachen Battle School was no ‘walk in the park’ either. Successfully leading Sura Soi Cycling Expedition, the army officer covered a distance of 508 km from the Siachen War Memorial to the Kargil War Memorial on Kargil Vijay Divas.
Based on her commendable performance in leading the men of the Sura Soi Engineer Regiment at Siachen, Captain Shiva Chauhan was selected to undergo training at the Siachen Battle School.

#BreakingNews | In the latest act of violence appertaining to the ongoing strife between indigenous people following the animist religion and others following Christianity, a Catholic church in a village in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh was attacked by an angry mob.
Hundreds of villagers marched into the Sacred Heart Church at Edka village in Narayanpur district carrying wooden sticks and iron rods on January 2.
The aggressors smashed the church's glass windows, destroyed the church's altar, crucifix, statues, and strew around consecrated hosts. The mob also vandalized a Marian grotto and the presbytery in the village.
As per reports, the Narayanpur Police has arrested BJP leader Rupsai Salam, 55, Pawankumar Nag, 24, Atul Netam, 24, Ankit Nandi, 31, and Domendra Yadav, 21 for vandalising the church and assaulting police personnel.

#breakingnews | A 20-year-old woman witnessed a gruesome death after a car hit her scooty, killing her instantly, and dragged her body for several kilometres. The incident took place in northwest Delhi’s Khanjawala area in the wee hours of Sunday.
Deepak Dahiya, an eyewitness of the horrific incident, said that the accused kept dragging the body of the girl which got entangled to their vehicle for 18 to 20 kilometres for about one and a half hours.
He further mentioned that the accused drove repeatedly on the road for about several kilometres by taking u-turns.
As per reports, all five occupants of the car, residents of the Sultanpuri area, have been arrested by the Delhi Police.

Considered among the top scenic locations to visit in the Northeast is the Dibang Valley waterfall in Arunachal Pradesh.

The waterfall located in Zawru/ Jaru valley in the Dibang Valley is surrounded by an eclectic mix of flora and fauna. The wide range of fauna includes red Panda, Tibetan Macaque, Musk Deer, giant flying Squirrels, Himalayan black Bear, Mishmi Takin, snow Leopard, Blyths’s Tragopan, Khalliji Pheasant to name a few.
