SATO 2531 refers to an advertising and social impact campaign that highlighted Japan's mandatory-surname-sharing law for married couples by projecting that the surname "Sato" would be the only one left in Japan by the year 2531

"Should experience in Media define a CPRO — or Can fresh perspectives be the real game changer?"

Telangana’s CMO just appointed G. Malsur, a seasoned bureaucrat, as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO)— notably the first ever without a formal background in media or PR.

This raises a compelling question:�Do you need traditional PR/media experience to excel in a communications role? Or can an outsider bring in fresh thinking and more impactful strategies?

PR agencies and media houses worldwide now hire talent from diverse backgrounds — management, psychology, design, tech — believing it fuels innovation.

Isn’t strategic thinking, clarity of message, integrity, and people skills what make a good CPRO — not just journalistic experience?
