I just came to know through a news item in Telangana Today that K Jayadev is no more. Later I confirm the news from a common friend.

It was a shock to me early morning today.

I met him recently during a marriage of a daughter of K Hari Prasad, a common friend, who had 17 years of association with Jayadev.

We were neighbours in Babukhan Estate. Prior to that also I knew him for several years as part of media outreach efforts.

He is one of the few journalist friends who I used to admire. I also learnt couple of things from him through her long conversations in the corridors of Babukhan Estate.

He was a good individual, well mannered, soft spoken, always cheerful, intellectual. We used to have a lot conversations on wide variety of subjects of mutual interest.

I used to read his articles with great interest, particularly his stories on Nano Technology. He was the Chief Editor of Nano Digest, a specialist magazine he brought out together with my friend K. Hari Prasad.

We were together in celebration and success party of Nano Digest at Media Junction.

I used to consult him on film production which was of one of my interests. I also picked up few finer points on script writing in our conversations. He was a good story teller. I used to admire him for his writing skills, presentation of complex subject in simple and layman’s language.

He has gone away so early.

My heartfelt condolences to the bereaving family. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

May his soul rest in peace

An apartment residents' novel way to celebrate Independence Day

Kalpana turned her black kitchen platform into a canvas, Jeevana Jyothi, and Annapurna-Gayatri turned their dining table into a drawing board to create patriotic designs and messages, using Millets, Pulses and Vegetables

Hyderabad….Women of Partani Towers in the city gearing up to celebrate Independence Day and Millets Years.

To celebrate it differently their, Association has organised a unique contest to express their patriotism through design using Millets and Pulses.

The women in the apartment Jeevana Jyothi, D. Kalpana, Annapurna and Gayatri, the mother and daughter duo have come out with unique designs as you see in these pics to express their love for the nation and respect for the national flag.

They have come out with these designs to participate in a contest.

The winners will be announced and given away prizes on 15th August immediately after flag hoisting.

D. Kaplana, a homemaker used her kitchen black platform to turn it into a canvas to write a message I LOVE INDIA using millets, pulses and vegetables. You can see in the pic stove and water filter, in between them is her design.

Jeevana Jyothi turned her dining table into a drawing board and designed the national flag with millets and pulses.

Annapurna and Gayatri, the mother and daughter chose their dining table. Used pain dhoti to create their design, a massive size national flag using millet. They also wrote messages in Hindi. I am Tamilina. But, I know Hindi and speak Hindi. Hindi is our national language. That is why I wrote my message in Hindi. she said.

Many residents have evinced a keen interest in the activity. And participated in the same. We are also organising Lemon and Spoon Race, Thread in the Needle and Book Balancing fun games on Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm in our Apartment premises, informed Ramulu, the Manager of the Apartments.

About 25 women are expected to participate. It is a fun activity to strengthen the bond between our residents, said Saibabu, an executive committee member.
