Catalogue in vdo format
Last few years I am trying to replicate traditional wooden boats into to the scale wooden models. 2020 had given me ample of time to devote myself to create such models. A catalogue named NOUKOGHAR I have prepared for easy access to all those boat models which are for SALE.

অনেক পরিশ্রম করে বিভিন্ন নৌকোর ছোট ছোট মডেল বানালাম।

এই নদী বিধৌত ভূমির সাথে যার নিবিড় সম্পর্ক। হরেক রকমের মডেল গুলোর একটা সূচি তৈরি করলাম সকলের আগ্রহের জন্য। pdf এর লিংকটা ওপরে আর তাকেই ভিডিও ফাইলে নীচে দিলাম। যদি মনেহয় আপনার কাছে এই নৌকো আদরে থাকবে জানাতে দ্বিধা করবেন না। নৌকো হাতবদল হতেই পারে।
নাদা বাইচ
পোড়া মাটির নাদাতে ধান সেদ্ধ করা হলেও তা কখনো নৌকো। কোথাও তা মেচলা বা তেগাড়ি। ঘরের জিনিস জলে নামিয়ে এদিক-ওদিক যাওয়ার কথা জেমস হরনেল লিখে গেছেন। নদীয়া জেলায় সেই নাদা দিয়েই বাইচ হয়। যে দেশের লোকজন জল-কাদায় সম্পৃক্ত তাদের দেশেই এই খেলা সম্ভব।

Boats are also used in sport. Mainly long and narrow planked boats are taken part in boat races and paddles are used to maneuver the boat.
Bengal has different types of boats use in boat races in different parts of Bengal. I have witnessed raft boat race in Sundarban in the year 1998. But never heard boat race by earthen pot. They call it NADA, where farmers use to prepare parboiled rice. It’s a terracotta pot. In the year 2008 villagers of Mrigi Bilpara of Nadia district, West Bengal has initiated a race with those earthen pots. 60 participants were taken part in 2020.

Sultani, a skeleton built cargo boat of bengal is 30 to 35 haat (1 haat=1.5 feet) in length and 7 to 10 haat in width popularly known as Medinipuri Boat. It is entirely nailed and propelled by lug sail having a rectangular stern post rudder.
সুলতানি
বাংলার অন্য নৌকোর মতো খোল গড়নের নৌকো নয় সুলতানি। এই নৌকোর আগে খাঁচা অর্থাৎ বাঁক-বাড়াস বসানো হয়। লাগ নামক এক বিশেষ ধরনের পাল, চারকোনা হাল এই নৌকোর গতি ও দিক নির্ধারণে বিশেষ ভূমিকা নয়। একে মেদিনীপুরী বোট বলে ডাকা হয়।
