KUPWARA, JUNE 03: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat has issued a public notice today which reads that he has been nominated as Enquiry Officer vide District Magistrate, Kupwara's order No: 61-DCK/Adm of 2022 Dated: 31-05-2022 to conduct Magisterial Enquiry into the alleged killing of three (03) unknown terrorists during an anti-militancy operation by security forces at Jumagund, Kupwara on May 26,this year.
The ADC has asked general public, who are having any knowledge of the incident and are desirous to share the same with him, can attend his office on working days with effect from 4th to 15th of this month during office hours to get their statement recorded.

Anantnag May 29 : Unidentified male dead body was recovered in South kashmir Brariangan Uttersoo Village of Anantnag district on Sunday Morning.

According to Reports some locals spotted the body lying inside a forest area of Brariangan Uttersoo village of Anantnag and immediately informed police about it.

Soon after being informed, a police team reached the spot and recovered the body, they said.

*TV Artist, nephew injured in militant attack in Chadoora Budgam*

Srinagar, May 25: A TV artist and her nephew were injured when militants fired upon them in Hishroo area of Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.

A top police officer told GNS that militants fired upon the artist ( Playing role in Tv Dramas) Ambreen, and her 10 -year -old nephew outside their home in Hishroo Chadoora.

Both of them were immediately removed to hospital, the officer said.

Condition of Ambreen is stated to be critical while her nephew has bullet injury in arm and is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile entire area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

*MHA Orders Transfer Of 5 IAS, One IPS Officers; Navin Kumar Choudhary Transferred To Goa, M Raju To AP*

Srinagar, May 20 (GNS): Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on Friday ordered transfer of five IAS and one IPS officers including Navin Kumar Choudhary and M Raju with immediate effect.

Belonging to joint AGMUT cadre, Choudhary has been transferred to Mizoram while M Raju to Arunachal Pradesh, according to an order by MHA, a copy of which lies with GNS.

The others transferred include Sudhir Kumar (IAS, AGMUT:2005) on return from deputation to GNCTD, MRM Rao (IAS, AGMUT¨2007) from Mizoram to Goa, A Ashwin Candru (IAS AGMUT: 2019) from Mizoram to Goa and Vikramajit Singh (IPS, AGMUT: 2004) on joining the AGMUT cadre from Kerela Cadre to J&K. (GNS)

*J&K bank corruption: CBI questions former J-K finance minister Haseeb Drabu in Mumbai building case*

New Delhi, May 20: The CBI on Friday questioned former Jammu and Kashmir finance minister Haseeb Drabu for alleged corruption in the purchase of a building for Jammu and Kashmir Bank's integrated office in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla complex when he was the chairman of the bank, officials said.

Drabu was booked by the CBI in its FIR following a reference from the Jammu and Kashmir government, they said.

He was questioned in Srinagar, they said.

The CBI has alleged that the bank had entered into a deal for its branch office at the Bandra Kurla Complex with Akruti Gold at a much higher rate than offered by other shortlisted builders causing a loss of over Rs 100 crore to the bank. The case was earlier probed by the anti-corruption branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police, which had registered an FIR following a preliminary inquiry.–(PTI)

Baramulla, Mar 20 : Family on Sunday sought the public help in tracing out a missing boy, who went missing from his home in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

Family members told that the boy Hilal Ahmed Bhat (23) son of Habibullah Bhat a resident of Manglura area of Tangmarg went missing from his home since Sunday morning.

Missing report in this regard has been lodged in the concerned police station Kunzer, they said.

LCDI Chairman early this afternoon convened a meeting of prominent party workers here at Lookipora Qaziabad
Wherein , he said that the Langate is left in shambles, authorities need to intervene.

The meeting was attended by scores of workers from different villages of lower Qaziabad. The workers discussed various issues, concerns and challanges which they are facing.

* Sanction of allopathic Hospital at Lookipora as the panchayat is exceeding the population over 11000 thousand.

*General public is suffering from scarcity of portable drinking water and demanded sanction of water supply scheme under JJM for Panchayat Halqa Lookipora and in addition to it public demanded construction of overhead tank to ensure the free flow of drinking water in pipes 24x7.

* They also demanded Animal and sheep husbandry units as the said halqa has too much potential of rearing and breading of cattle.

*Most of habitation of Lookipora halqa are involved in labour related activities and the Lookipora halqa should be declared as RBA village.
As confidence building measure govt of india should consider release of all detainees which are not involved in heinous crimes including release of Engineer Rashid former MLA.

Handwara, Dec 25 (KNS): A group of cricketers from Mawer area of Handwara on Saturday alleged that the they were being provided rat-bitten bananas as refreshment by the youth services and sports department Kupwara.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), they alleged that the department is claiming of providing Rs 25 as refreshment to every player, but the truth is that they being provided rat-bitten bananas as refreshment.

They said the aim of organizing these events was to promote local talent, however, the department instead of promoting local talent is insulting the youth.

The players sought action against the officials of the department for failing to keep a check on these things.

When contacted, district youth services and sports officer Kupwara, Jatinder Singh said they are paying Rs 25 as refreshment to each player, however, they will look into the allegations made by players. (KNS)

*PDD Lineman Electrocuted in Uri Succumbs at Hospital After 10 Days*

Uri, Dec 24 : A Power Development Department daily-wager lineman electrocuted in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last week, succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.

As reported a lineman namely Mohammad Amin, 55, son of Mohammad Azam Awan was electrocuted while repairing a transformer at his native village Kalgi in Uri on December 15.

The lineman was shifted to sub-district hospital Uri from where he was referred to GMC Baramulla for preferential treatment. However, ten days after admission at the hospital, the lineman succumbed to his injuries this afternoon, as informed by a medical official at the hospital. (GNS)
