AXOM ABHINOY PROTISTHAN First ever Acting school of NE India established in the year 1991. Late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was then the chief adviser with Indra Bania as President.

"Axom abhinoy protisthan" or "Assam Acting Institute" is the first registered institution of North East Region, Assam. This institution is imparting systematic training on acting in stage, films, Television, Radio play and also allied subjects like Make-up, setting, light and sound etc
