Pahar nd River is a volunteer tourism organization. The basic idea behind the establishment of this organization however was the exploration of tourism resources of the region only; at the beginning. Accordingly the volunteers used to visit any destination as they wished. The organizational structure and tour planning was taken only in 2009. The committee decided to introduce the policy of organiz
ed exploration and a survey system for future benefit of tourists. 2013 was fixed to start Pahar nd River's website after having necessary surveys and data. Before visiting any place of this land, we can hope that our informations will be beneficial for tourist to plan a desirable trip. Brief History
* 18th Feb/2005
Foundation of Pahar nd River, a volunteer tourism organization.
* 15th Oct/2005
First formal meeting held in Lachit Park, Jalukbari. A tourism exploration of Guwahati and Kamrup was decided before the end of the year.
* 31st Dec/2005. Deepor Beel
Proposal was passed to visit and explore all possible places of Assam within 31st Dec/2006.
* 1st Jan/2007. Kaziranga National Park Boundary, Jakhalabandha
Joining of new members was permitted. Issue of organization logo, pad and stamp was issued. Proposal was also done to visit any destination of other sister states of Assam with volunteer's private interest and cost.
* 18th Feb/2008. Garampani, Nambor Wildlife Sanctuary, Bokajan
Exploration of sister states of Assam was taken as a organization interest. Proposed logo, pad and stamp was accepted.
* 31st Jan/2009, Bamunimaidam (organization mess)
For smooth running of the organization a committee was formed. Various tasks were decided for the tourism development of the region. 31st Dec/2013 was proposed as the deadline to launch a website after having sufficient data.
