This time the number of people opting for the new tax regime has also increased a lot. A total of 5.27 crore taxpayers opted for the new tax regime while 2.01 crore taxpayers filed ITR under the old tax system.

Popular car manufacturing company Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced to set up its third manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra.

India has 1.8 million unfilled jobs in the financial services sector, according to FPSB India CEO Krishan Mishra.

He highlighted the issue of unemployability despite the demand. GIFT City in Gandhinagar, which currently employs 6,000 people, is expected to create 1.5 lakh more jobs in the next five years.

RBI Approves IDBI Bank Divestment Bidders, Modi Govt Set to Realise ₹29,000 Cr

The Modi government is set to earn Rs 29,000 crore from selling its stake in IDBI Bank after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the bidders.

This approval comes just before the Union Budget 2024, putting the spotlight on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The process to sell the bank started in May 2021. The RBI had to check if the bidders followed all rules and were not being investigated by other regulators.

Most bidders have been approved, but one foreign bidder is still under review. With IDBI Bank's value near Rs 95,000 crore, the government expects a good return from this sale.
