This one's a lil heartfelt , Read through the Caption Maybe (?)
A few months back I decided to take a step back from music and this time I thought it's a change I'm holding onto for good, with the payments getting stuck & the bookings getting lesser by the week , I felt like I'm at the end of the line , unfortunately. ( BOY, WAS I WRONG )
I took this time to step back to gain mental clarity , clear the fog in my brain and reflect on where I stand as a person , Where my music is and where I see my goal to be - only to realise that in today's world , making good music isn't enough , it's about how you present it.
Maybe I won't play as many shows as I did , maybe my music will get viral or maybe it won't , my motive when I began making music wasn't to run after the fame , I did it because I love making music , every bit of it, even for the few people that listen to it. Yes I do want my music to grow & It is unrealistic to just hope to make music without the desire to have it heard by millions , which is what got me right back here.
I'm evidently not the best at social media or presentation or don't have a team to do it for me , but this time around is a fresh start with a new strategy, and a new way of doing things with more sincerity & hopefully I'll learn a thing or two new.
I guess Its safe to say that my break is over & I'm ready to be back stronger than ever.
