"SDF party will not make any agreement for Sikkim's existence and future protection - Pawan Chamling"
Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) President Mr. Pawan Chamling said, this year's election is the last opportunity for Sikkim to save existence. The victory of SDF is very important to save the rights, rights and the existence of Sikkim and Sikkim in elections. Sikkim and Sikkim will win only if SDF wins in elections. Mr. Chamling shared this idea addressing the Central Executive Committee meeting held at SDF Bhawan on Monday.
Holding his presidential address in the assembly, Mr. Chamling said, the people of Sikkim and Sikkimeli have only suffered in the SKM government for the past five years. These five years have become black years for Sikkim. Mr. Chamling claims that SKM government is not the protector of the people of Sikkim but the eater. He said the state has not developed, and no development is the increase of corruption. Shri Chamling also urged party workers to reach out to the people and reveal what the SKM government has done against the interest of Sikkim and Sikkim people.

We won't compromise even a little for the security of the interest of the people of Sikkim and Sikkim. Mr. Chamling also said, I am ready to give my life to save the future of Sikkim, save the existence of Sikkim and Sikkim future.
He also said, rule of law in Sikkim has ended after SKM government came, no rules and laws. The people have not been able to see the good administration. The government has no system. Only PS Goley and his team are seen across the state, only their threats are heard. A big injustice has been done to the people. Today people are breathing at the mercy of Chief Minister Shri Gole.
Shri Chamling said that we should not run away from the responsibility given by history, today we should fight the enemy of the Sikkim people. The people should unite and recognize the enemies of Sikkim and Sikkim people, and make Sikkim and Sikkim people win forever, he said.

Suchana Seth, the CEO of Mindful AI Lab, has been arrested in connection with the tragic death of her 4-year-old son in Goa. Authorities took her into custody as she attempted to flee with a bag containing her son's body.

Seth had checked into a hotel in Goa with her son, but later left alone in a taxi. Alert hotel staff discovered bloodstains in the service apartment, prompting a quick response from the Goa police, leading to Seth's arrest within hours.

The distressing incident follows Seth's divorce, where the court had granted child visitation rights to the baby's father every Sunday. She claims that her actions were motivated by a desire to prevent her son from meeting her estranged husband.

The region, on the outskirts of Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary, rarely witnesses encounters with this near-extinct species. The sighting highlights the success of ongoing conservation efforts, including Grow-Trees.com's 'Trees for Ecotourism' projects, in rejuvenating forest ecosystems. This unexpected encounter underscores the importance of continued tree plantation initiatives to restore and protect natural habitats for rare species like the Red Panda."

Sikkimā€™s Wildlife Sightings create National and World Record
(Press Release from Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim)
Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim in collaboration with the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) had jointly deployed camera traps across the high-altitude regions of Sikkim to understand the impact of climate change on large mammals. Recently, while retrieving the images from the camera traps, multiple captures of Tiger at higher altitudes were observed from Kyongnosla and Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary. The highest elevation record of a Male Tiger at 3966 m was from Kyongnosla in Gangtok district which is a NATIONAL RECORD and second highest record globally after Bhutan.
Earlier in the year 2019, Tiger was recorded from North Sikkim (3602 m) and in 2023 from Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary at (3640 m). Gaur (also known as Indian bison) was observed at an elevation of 3568 m from Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary which is a WORLD RECORD.
The occurrence of Gaur at such high altitudes is a rare observation as they mostly remain below 1800 m. Gaur is the worldā€™s largest cattle species and is endemic to south and southeastern Asia, and most of its population occurs in India. Gaur plays an important role in the food chain being an important prey for large carnivores such as tiger, common leopard, and Asiatic wild dog. Other animals photographed in the camera traps include Sambar, Dhole or wild dog, Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer, Serow, Mithun, Goral etc. The availability of such rich wildlife is a confirmation of the conservation efforts of the Government of Sikkim.
