*A gesture of goodwill by VLW Mir Suhail Firdous*

A gesture of goodwill has opened up the door of humanity for other employees of other departments, in this gesture a widow lady namely Hameeda banoo W/O late Mohd Amin Paswal R/o Gujar Basti panchayat Halqa Gadpora was financially assisted under TSP (IAY) for construction of house within a shortest span of time in the month of march.

This gesture was firmly supported by great efforts of VLW Mir Suhail Firdous who is posted there from last couple of Months and is keen in using his deligent efforts for the upliftment of downtrodden people especially widows and orphans.

The goodwill has opened up from the adminstration side where Assistant Commissioner of Development Pulwama Mr Hilal Ahmad KAS, BDO Sameer Ahmed Dar( KAS) under the overall guidance of Deputy commissioner Pulwama has provided the platform for their subordinates so that they can pounce on a chance to support the destitute, downtrodden widows and orphans in construction of houses and for providing other basic amenities.

*Residents of Sofigund Aripal throw garbage in the stream, provok threat to the cultivated fields*

Aripal February15: Local residents of Sofigund Aripal ( Tral) are throwing every kind of waste in the stream, passing amidst of huge cultivated field, the farmers are up in arms against the illicit act.

The garbage disposal has choked the stream results into the overflowing of water on either side of the stream and is causing huge damage to the cultivated fields.

“ We have approached number of times to the higher authorities but no action has taken so far against the culprits. We are continuously facing the threat that our cultivated field may not be damaged for ever.The threat grows manifold once it rains as huge garbage flows in the stream. This gives rise to a dangerous situation as we are worried about our fields.The continuous deterioration of the stream has added more threat to the smooth flow of water in the stream"said by local farmers.

“Even after approaching the concerned authorities on multiple occasions we are yet to see any action being taken on ground.The department concerned claims to have spend crores for repairs and maintenance of stream throughout the Aripal however in reality it all is on papers as the ground situation is grim", they said adding that"

Now local farmers request to the concerned authorities to take strong cognizance against the residents of Sofigund and urge them to construct the stream by proper bunding so that there could be smooth flow of water through it.

*Residents of Dar and Najar Mohalla Batnoor,Tral express resentment over dilapidated link road condition*

Tral,13 November:The residents of Dar and Najar Mohallas Batnoor Payeen have expressed deep anguish over the dilapidated conditions of link road( from the house of Farooq Ahmad Dar to Mohammad Khalil Najar) that leads to the interior of the them and has become completely skidding and rugged from last 7 years especially it is observed becomes worst during winter season.

"The senior citizens of the Mohallas said that every kind of constructive development has taken place on other link roads of the village but unfortunately we have been neglected from every corner and they have not taken any key note for the betterment of the our Mohallas.

The department of block development Tral has taken constructive measures number of times but due to unnecessary poking of legs by some political linked persons have diverted the main cause of overall development of the main and link roads of the village and in particularly our Dar and Najar Mohallas.

Moreover, the grave concern is that the link road has hugely encroached on the fringes by constructing illegal structures that created bottlenecks for passersby and is prone to any serious accident while carrying any load or fodder on their shoulders from their farmlands.

Now our genuine demand from ADC and BDO Tral is to take strong cognizance over the appalling conditions of link road of Dar and Najar Mohallas and on priority need constructive development of the link road as soon as possible.

*Youth organised a rally on drug de-addiction before the match played at Batagund*

Batagund,6 December: A rally was organised by cricket lovers at Batagund cricket field to aware the people about the grave concern of drug addiction among youth.

This rally was organised by organiser of the Batagund premier league before the commencement of the match. Huge spectators gathered over there to observe the rally and send a strong message to the youth of the whole Tral and even valley who are involved in the drug addiction.

Play cards were raised in the hands of the cricket lovers sensing a strong message to youth who are involved in drug addiction.

At the government level higher officials must co-operate with the locals to curb the drug addiction.

Chinar valley Cricket Club beat Ball breakers pastuna by 22 runs

After winning the toss CV Cricket Club made 99/5 in 10 Overs . Rasik made 41 runs with the help of Two 6,s and 5 boundaries

In reply Ball breakers Pastuna managed to score only 78 runs and lost the match with 22 runs.
In the end Rasik was declared Hero of the match for his outstanding innings of 41 Runs.
