बीजिंग। चीन के वैज्ञानिकों ने एक ऐसा कृत्रिम सूर्य बनाने में सफलता हासिल कर ली है, जो सूर्य के कोर से भी 3 गुना ज्यादा गर्म है। इस आविष्कार को ईंधन की कमी दूर करने की राह में एक बड़ी सफलता माना जा रहा है। इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ फिजिकल साइंस के वैज्ञानिक इस कृत्रिम सूरज में हाइड्रोजन गैस को 5 करोड़ डिग्री सेल्सियस के भयंकर तापमान तक गर्म कर पाने में सफल हो गए।

एक अंग्रेजी अखबार के मुताबिक चीन के वैज्ञानिकों ने 5 करोड़ डिग्री सेल्सियस तापमान को उस तक कायम रखने में सफलता हासिल की, जब तक न्यूक्लियर फ्जूजन चैंबर का कोर इस तापमान के आगे पिघल कर पस्त नहीं हो गया। वैज्ञानिकों का मानना है कि इससे जीवाश्म ईंधन पर हमारी निर्भरता खत्म हो सकती है, क्योंकि गैस के जरिए पैदा न्यूक्लियर एनर्जी को बेहद बड़ी मात्रा में इस्तेमाल के लायक साफ सुथरी एनर्जी में तब्दील किया जा सकेगा। यह आविष्कार उस प्रॉजेक्ट का हिस्सा है, जिसके तहत न्यूक्लियर फ्जूयन रिएक्टरों से साफ सुथरी ऊर्जा हासिल की जा सके।

The Indian National Satellite System (Hindi: भारतीय राष्ट्रीय उपग्रह प्रणाली), or INSAT, is a series of multipurpose geo-stationary satellites launched by ISRO to satisfy the telecommunications, broadcasting, meteorology, and search and rescue operations.
Commissioned in 1983, INSAT is the largest domestic communication system in the Asia Pacific Region. It is a joint venture of the Department of Space, Department of Telecommunications, India Meteorological Department, All India Radio and Doordarshan. The overall coordination and management of INSAT system rests with the Secretary-level INSAT Coordination Committee.

INSAT satellites provide transponders in various bands (C, S, Extended C and Ku) to serve the television and communication needs of India. Some of the satellites also have the Very High Resolution Radiometer (VHRR), CCD cameras for meteorological imaging. The satellites also incorporate transponder(s) for receiving distress alert signals for search and rescue missions in the South Asian and Indian Ocean Region, as ISRO is a member of the Cospas-Sarsat program.

The Indian National Satellite (INSAT) system is one of the largest domestic communication satellite systems in Asia-Pacific region with nine operational communication satellites placed in Geo-stationary orbit. Established in 1983 with commissioning of INSAT-1B, it initiated a major revolution in India’s communications sector and sustained the same later. GSAT-17 joins the constellation of INSAT System consisting 15 operational satellites, namely - INSAT-3A, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4CR and GSAT-6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 18.

The INSAT system with more than 200 transponders in the C, Extended C and Ku-bands provides services to telecommunications, television broadcasting, satellite newsgathering, societal applications, weather forecasting, disaster warning and Search and Rescue operations.
