Are you struggling to turn your research writing into a publishable manuscript? Do you find it challenging to make your academic writing more engaging or to write a book proposal? Are you unsure about approaching the right publisher with your manuscript? If so, this workshop is for you.

The workshop helps participants identify their readership and use writing techniques to transform dry or obscure research writing into an engaging narrative. This includes rewriting, restructuring, or editing for clarity, with the goal of producing a viable and publishable manuscript. Participants will also learn what publishers look for in a book proposal and how they assess manuscripts. The workshop guides participants on approaching suitable publishers and understanding the anonymous review process. Additionally, there will be a session particularly on submission ethics and contractual issues.

The workshop will include four three-hour-long online sessions conducted by the instructor Arpita Das, a Q and A with a guest speaker, reading material, exercises to address particular problems in manuscripts, and one-on-one feedback to the latter by email.
