We humans belong to the species Homo sapiens. This species developed around 300,000 years ago in Africa and gradually spread across the world. Besides us, there were several other human species that existed from millions to just thousands of years ago, such as:

Homo habilis - around 2.4 to 1.4 million years ago
Homo erectus - around 1.9 million to 110,000 years ago
Neanderthals (Homo neanderthalensis) - around 400,000 to 40,000 years ago
Denisovans - around 50,000 to 300,000 years ago
Homo heidelbergensis - around 700,000 to 200,000 years ago
Homo floresiensis - around 100,000 to 50,000 years ago
All of these were ancient human species, but over time, they became extinct. Today, only the Homo sapiens species, or modern humans, remain.

😆😆😆😆😆 When I was in school, I read a story in a book about two ducks and a frog. In the story, the two ducks and a frog lived in a pond and shared a deep friendship. During the summer, when the pond started drying up, the ducks used a stick to carry their friend, the frog, to another pond with them. However, this cartoon is the complete opposite of that story.
