1. Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born on 14th April 1981 in Madhya Pradesh and was the last and 14th child of his parents.

2. Ambedkar’s original name was Ambavadekar.

3. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was the first and remains the only person around the globe to have received an honorary doctorate of "Doctor All Science" from the London School of Economics. To date, several attempts have been made by students from around the world to receive the said degree, but they have not been successful.

4. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the first lawyer from the backward class.

5. In the London School of Economics, Babasaheb completed 8 years of studies in just 2 years 3 months. For this, he studied 21 hours a day.

6. Babasaheb was a master in 64 different subjects. He knew 9 languages like Hindi, English, Pali, Sanskrit, Persian, French, German, Marathi, and Gujarati. Apart from this, for almost 21 years, he studied all the religions of the world comparatively.

7. Babasaheb was the world's first and only Satyagrahi, who did Satyagraha for drinking water.

8. Nobel Prize winner Prof. Amartya Sen considered Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as his father in economics.

9. Dr. Ambedkar played a significant role in the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India in 1935.

10. Though the National flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya, the credit of giving place to "Ashok Chakra" in the Indian Tricolour also goes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The 7th of April of every year since 1950 is celebrated as World Health Day as it marks the founding of WHO. This year's campaign for World Health Day is 'Building a fairer, healthier world'. Rapid growth and urban development has given a better lifestyle to many people but has pushed some others to poverty. Especially during this global pandemic many people are struggling with poverty and unemployment. WHO plans on bringing people together and ensuring sound as well as healthy living and working conditions for people of all economic status with the help of the leaders of the countries.
