Do you remember the summer of 2020 when we were all cooped up indoors and had a lot of thoughts to share? Well, The Write Track was launched then at YOCee. Daily prompts were sent out to young writers to write about. It was an amazing way to document our experiences and connect with each other through writing.

Fast forward to 2022, and those everyday writers produced weekly eBooks of all their writings! Pretty cool, right?

Now, we're gearing up for season 4 of The Write Track and we want YOU to be a part of it! If you're under 17, you can join the band of everyday writers by sending an email to [email protected]. Every day, you'll receive three unique prompts in your mailbox. You can choose to write about any or all of them!

So, what are you waiting for? Sign up now and let's get writing!

On this year's Earth Day week, we are proud to announce that a profile submitted by our young reporter, Maitreyi A is among the 18 shortlisted entries in the Climate Champion Profile Contest organised by News Decoder News Decoder and Global Youth and News Media. The entry is not a Gold or Silver awardee. But the effort is laudable.

Not just Maitreyi, but student reporter, Medha also submitted a good profile on someone who she thought was a 'climate champion.' 🙌 Her entry did not make it to the shortlist "because the initiative was too new to have any evidence of success." Nevertheless, her report is an interesting one. She will watch the progress of the initiative and come up with a story in the near future.

Remember, the deadline for submission was very close to their annual exam schedule and yet they geared up to talk to the people, write their reports and submit!

"News Decoder and Global Youth & News Media challenged teens to find and profile people working on systems-level solutions to climate change. They stepped up," says News Decoder.

“We purposely made this assignment difficult, asking teenagers to find people as profile subjects who they could defend as truly ‘moving the needle’ in actions to save the planet,” Dr Aralynn McMane, director, Global Youth and News Media explains.

These profiles will be published soon, and we will announce them here. Please do read them and tell us how you like them. You are great supporters of our young student reporters.

And congrats to Maitreyi 🤝and Medha 🤜! Continue to watch for good stories around you and keep writing! ✍
