☔️ Fresh Easterlies arrived over TN coast. Pondy - Tuticorin stretch (incl Delta), Tirunelveli and Kumari districts will get Good Rains for next 3-4 days. Few places especially close to coast and ghat regions would expect Heavy Rains.

♦️ Chennai - KTC belt could fetch Some Scattered Rains from Tonight to next 2 days, Nothing major, Will be Light to Moderate spells especially at Night to Morning hours.

☔️ Chennai - KTC belt would get Rains Tomorrow and 27th Dec Friday especially at Midnight to Morning hours. Drizzles-Light shower likely to prevail today. These would be Enjoyabale Light to Moderate spells from remnants of system 91B.

♦️ Fresh Easterlies to arrive within next 3-4 days. Once again KTCC belt might get Some Rains around 29th-31st December. Other TN Coastal districts too will join on that period.

☔️ Decent Widespread Rains yesterday in Chennai city and suburbs. Really a Good infact Lucky system as we got 4-5 cms Widespread Rains on average. It doesn't Disappoint us considering the unfavorable conditions and even Light Rains was in doubt at certain period of time.

♦️ Chennai City (Nungabakkam) crosses 1000 mm for the NEM Season 2024 yet another time 😍🥳 It's the 4th time in last 5 years (Only 2022 missed with 960 mm) and the Dream Run of Above normal/Excess NEM continues for Chennai since 2020!! 💥

🌧 Coming to Forecast, Nothing much interesting in upcoming days. Chennai City and suburbs might get Some Scattered spells tomorrow in typical SWM style (West - NW winds). Dry weather with chill/foggy conditions will take in effect for few days.

☔️ Perfect Monsoon day for Chennai City and suburbs!! 😍😇 Light showers since morning and currently picked up pace turned to Moderate Rains.

♦️ Rains will continue steadier and could be fairly Intense at times. Meanwhile for Heavy Rains, It depends on convergence and system also system should move slightly west. So, Real-time monitoring will be best from now. By keeping expectations low, Let's see how it pans out 🙌

🌀 A Short Update of System 91B : After Fengal and 90B which gave Bountiful Rains for both KTCC belt and Other TN districts, Another Fresh LPA formed over South Bay of Bengal today as expected earlier. This system might get influenced by WD (Western Disturbance).

🌧 The Track is clear, Initial west direction and a curvy NW movement which might graze KTCC belt and SAP Coasts. As of now, Only KTCC belt looks quite placed well and Somewhat Villupuram, pondy, cuddalore and Nagai districts having fair Rain chances from this system.

♦️ Remember, "More close to us, The more will be the Rains" and also the Convection should be strong in West and WNW quadrant of the system. So the Conclusion - "Some Spells assured for KTCC belt but for Heavy - Very Heavy Rains it's completely depends on the movement and West - WNW quadrant convection.

☔️ An Unbelievable Outrageous Day for TamilNadu!! 😍💥 Atleast a place got Heavy Rains in most of the districts. Easily the Best Day of the season for TN in terms of Widespread Heavy Rains. Whenever system stays at GOM and Comorin sea it produces absolute magic for entire TN.

🌧 KTCC belt, Vellore, Ranipet, Villupuram, Pondy, Cuddalore, Ariyalur,Perambur, Mayiladhudurai, Trichy, Dindugul, Madurai, Theni, Pudukkottai, sivagangai, Virudhunagar, Ramnad, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts got Widespread Heavy Rains. Some places over Cuddalore, Mayiladhudurai, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts recorded Very Heavy to Extreme Heavy Rains.

🔶️ For KTCC belt, It's been a Wonderful system as most parts of Chennai city got 150-175 mm in 2 days even few places got 200 mm. More Importantly the lake areas got Very Heavy Rains. Poondi & Chemba lakes almost got filled and currently outflow process going on.

♦️ Avadi pounded with 215 mm followed by Tiruthani 170 mm, Sriperumbedur 166 mm, Poonamallee 143 mm, Chembarabakkam 141 mm, Kundrathur 137 mm, Tiruvallur 125 mm and Maduranthagam 123 mm. For Chennai city, Southern parts got Heavy Rains with Top scorer Meenabakkam 107 mm.

Kakkachi - 340 mm
Manjolai - 320 mm
Nalumukku - 310 mm

☔️ 2nd Day of Widespread Heavy Rains in Chennai city and suburbs. This time South Chennai - suburbs got more Rains especially the Carnage Morning spell at 11.30 am was literally one the best spell of this season!! 😍💥 As usual, Western and NW parts of Chennai enjoying the Beast Rains since Midnight.

🌀 90B Turning out to be a Wonderful system for KTCC belt as most parts of Chennai city got around 150 mm on average since yesterday which was more than expected to be frank 🙌 Still, Few Sharp spells possible in Upcoming hours and will get completely ease off tomorrow morning.

♦️ Delta districts also getting Super Rains and will continue Tonight too. Meanwhile the LPA located at comorin sea, Thus Tuticorin, Ramnad, Nellai, Tenkasi and Kumari districts will get Very Heavy Rains Tonight! A much needed spell awaiting for them as they are in deficit.

As we observed earlier, Another Fresh LPA from south Andaman might move towards TN again. Will update soon regarding this fresh one.

☔️ Excellent Widespread Rains over Chennai - KTC belt and NTN Coastal districts. As said earlier, Whenever LPA or Depression stays in Gulf of Mannar (GOM) entire TN will get Bountiful Rains. Chennai City got 7-10 cms Widespread Rains on average with few places got centuries!! 😍💥 Delta regions too pounded with Very Heavy Rains. Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram districts got Good Rains. Overall, Superb system in December 👏

♦️ Coming to Today's Forecast - South TN, Central Interior districts and Delta regions will be Hotspot today as Widespread Heavy Rains expected with few places might get Very Heavy Rains too. Chennai - KTC belt, pondy, Villupuram and Cuddalore would get Intermittent Moderate to Heavy spells. Rains will ease off gradually over KTCC belt and North Coastals from Tonight/Tomorrow morning.

☔️ Back to Back systems Keeps NEM active : After Fengal, North TN especially Villupuram, Cuddalore, pondy and TV malai got severely affected and still yet to recover completely. Meanwhile, Chennai city reached Normal category. So, We wont end below normal or deficit for this year.

🌀 Fresh LPA formed over South BOB expected to move WNW for sometime and then west towards GOM/SW Bay. This is the typical December where systems will travel below Cuddalore/Delta latitude.

🔶️ Rains will start from 11th December and could be 2-3 days event. Entire TN Coasts (incl KTCC belt) will enjoy Good Widespread Rains. South coastal TN would join the show this time and Central - Western districts too could have Nice Rains. Expecting Heavy to Very Heavy Rains over Pondy, Cuddalore, Villupuram, TV malai, Delta regions and Central Interiors.

♦️ For Chennai - KTC belt, Good Decent Rains on cards btw 11 -13th December. Nothing threatening, definitely would be enjoyable ones. Almost 70-80% major reservoirs got filled. So no need to worry about scarcity in summer.

🚨 Good Bye Fengal!!👋 One of the Most Devastating cyclone in recent times. The Rains did the utmost damage than winds over Villupuram, pondy, Cuddalore, TV malai districts. Villupuram got Terribly affected by Dangerous Flash Floods. Pondy, Cuddalore, TV malai and Parts of Dharmapuri & krishnagiri districts also got affected badly.

🌊 Not only the massive Floods the Rockslide which occurred at Foothills of TV malai looks disheartening to watch those scary visuals 💔 7 of them buried unfortunately no one escaped 😥

🌀 Keeping aside this Disaster, Cyclone Fengal was one of the Super Powerful Rain filled system which stayed almost a week which pounded Rains right from Srilanka, North - Delta districts of TN, Kerala and South Karnataka (Bengaluru region). A Cyclone to be Remembered for a longtime!!

🔰 Let's have a look of Key moments from the System (99B to Fengal) :

• 99B first targeted Delta regions. Nagai got 18 cms and surroundings got Very Heavy Rains. On the same day, Chennai and suburbs too got Widespread Heavy Rains.

• After that lull 2 Days period where the system 99B and bloggers got heavily trolled by social media citizens. Then the massive comeback of 99B happened 🔥 which Intensified rapidly and turned to Cyclone Fengal.

• The Northern bands first pounded in KTCC belt and later the CDO Bands struck over Pondy and Villupuram districts and later pounded all the places which are in Fengal's path. Currently it's in Arabian sea, moves further and that's the end of Monster Fengal!! 🙏

• Villupuram got pounded with 65 cm in 3 days, Pondy got 49 cm in single day. TV malai,Cuddalore also got massive Rains with 30-35 cms in TVM and 25 cms in Cuddalore. Once the Fengal stationed over North Interiors, Uthangarai (Dharmapuri dt) got 50 cms and Yercaud got 35 cms in 2 days.

• Chennai - KTC belt also got Super Widespread Rains from the system as many parts of City got 20-25 cms average in last 7 days. We got 15 cms on average during 29th Nov Night - 30th Nov afternoon (Northern bands from fengal). So, overall a Wonderful system for Entire NTN districts.

♦️ Forecast for next 1 week - Chennai City and other NTN coastals might get some Scattered showers for next few days. One thing guys, NEM is not over yet!.. Will Update about possible Dec 2nd week event after sometime..

🌀 Cyclone Fengal wrecked havoc in Pondy and Villupuram districts. Disastrous conditions over Pondy town, Tindivanam, Villupuram and Parts of TV malai, Cuddalore and kallakurichi districts.

♦️ Mailam (Villupuram dt) pounded with 51 cms and Pondicherry town devastated with 49 cm. Villupuram towm got 28 cms and cuddalore town 24 cms. KTCC belt also had wonderful outings from fengal as most places got 150-200 mm in 36 hours.

⚠️ CDO was extremely powerful and got struck for hours over Pondy - Tindivanam belt caused Mega Disastrous Deluge Rains with severe winds gusts upto 70 kmph got massively flooded and the conditions looks worst especially in Pondy and Tindivanam surroundings 😐

🌧 Coming to Forecast - Cyclone Fengal moved completely inland (Refer Pic 2) and will move westwards. Kallakurichi, TV malai, Salem, Vellore, Tirupathur, Dhramapuri and krishnagiri districts will get Heavy to very Heavy Rains as they are in path of system. Rains will gradually reduce over Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram from Tonight. Chennai - KTC belt will continue to get Occasional Rains from Outer Bands.

🌀 Landfall process of Cyclone Fengal (Western quadrant) started near marakkanam. Dunno whetherl it makes complete Landfall within tonight or gets stalled to make tomorrow morning. Anyways, LF won't be a issue because there won't be any severe wind threat (Around 50-60 kmph at max).

♦️ As System take SW drift, Southern - SW quadrant of Cyclone Fengal got the Main Dense Bands and currently pounding Deluge spell over Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram districts. Expecting More 200s and Few 300s from these districts.

🌧 For Chennai - KTC belt, We got Peak Rains from the Northern quadrant of system early morning - afternoon. Most parts of KTCC belt got Widespread Very Heavy Rains as expected with around 170-200 mm on average!! Still, We could expect some Good Pull-effect Rains. So, It's not completely over yet. Hopefully another 5-6 cms for next 2-3 days.

🚨 Heavy to Very Heavy Rains with severe winds continues over Chennai city and suburbs as could see the next set of strong bands converging very close to coast. More Rains ahead today for KTCC belt with some breaks!! Landfall to make Tomorrow. Most parts of Chennai city and suburbs got above 150- 170 mm till 1 pm.

🌧 Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram districts too getting good Rains. Rains will increase over these regions in upcoming hours.

🌀 A Very Good Morning to all! 😊 Cyclone Fengal started his performance since midnight over Chennai - KTC belt. Massive Downpours with Severe winds Continuously since midnight. Chennai got 80 - 100 mm on average till now. Kathivakkam the top scorer with 129 mm till today 8.30 am.

♦️ As long as the Cyclone stays near us, We'll get Continuous Rains with Cyclonic winds as bands could keep on triggering near to us. Enjoy the Cyclone day but kindly be safe and alert if you're in low lying areas. Avoid Travelling Unnecessarily outside as the winds would be severe at times.

🌧 Landfall expected at Today evening/Night somewhere near Mahabs or marakkanam or pondicherry region. Pondy, Cuddalore, Villupuram will start to get Heavy - Very Heavy Rains in upcoming hours. After that North Interiors will get Rains.

🌀 Cyclone Fengal officially formed and moving slowly in WNW direction. Looks like it gonna stall near coast for a while before making landfall. If no stalling, it'll make Landfall tomorrow itself else on Sunday (Dec 1) morning.

🚨 I'm not hyping but if this scenario happens, would be massive which could dump Torrential Rains with winds for a longer period along the coasts. Anyways Let's track it in Real-time. By the way Chennai - KTC belt, Pondy and Villupuram districts people should be vigil and advised to take Precautions for next 48 hours.

♦️ Chennai - KTC belt getting Intermittent Moderate to Intense Spells. Rains will be Steady and might become Continuous from Tonight/Tomorrow morning. Pondy - Cuddalore belt will get from Tomorrow early morning.

⚠️ Next 36-48 hours will be Crucial. KTCC belt definitely to get Heavy - Very Heavy Rains for sure. Interesting to observe where the CDO gonna hit, that region will have the Extreme Deluge spell.

🌀 Just 24 - 36 hours for the event!! 99B currently in DD could turn to "Cyclone Fengal" within evening and continue to travel WNW direction. Based on the movement speed and intensity, It would make landfall Tomorrow (30th November) between Chennai - Pondy stretch especially near marakkanam/Mamallapuram.

♦️ A Good start for Chennai city and suburbs as got widespread 3-5 cms Rains overnight. Rains will commenxe again shortly over Chennai and suburbs after a break since morning.

⚠️ TIME FOR HIGH ALERT : Rains will become Widespread and Powerful from Evening/Night over KTCC belt, Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram districts. Heavy to Very Heavy Rains alert for Chennai - KTC belt with isolated places might get Extreme Rains for next 48 hours especially will be at Highest Peak during time of Landfall. Pondy, Cuddalore and Villupuram also will get Very Heavy Rains during Lanfall period.

☔️ Rains will start over Chennai - KTC belt and NTN Coasts from today midnight. Rains would become more widespread tomorrow with Potential Heavy to Very Heavy Rains at few places between KTCC belt - Cuddalore stretch. Delta districts too would get Decent spells tomorrow.
