The eclipse will be started at 8: 34 PM on 14th October 2023 and ends in early morning at 2: 25 Am on October 15,2023. This Eclipse will continue for almost six hours. This Surya Grahan 2023 will not be visible in India. There will be no Sutak period in India. The Grahan will begin at 8:34 a.m. and continue until the next day, early morning, at 2:25 a.m. The Sutak time will begin 12 hours before the solar eclipse 2023 and 9 hours before the lunar eclipse. During Sutak, worship is restricted. The idols of gods should not be touched during this Sutak time. But in India, Sutak Time is not applicable, as Sutak Time is valid only when the solar eclipse is visible. The second solar eclipse of the year 2023 will not be visible in India. There will be no Sutak time in India.

You cannot view the Surya Grahan directly with your eyes, as it will harm your eyes. It is not advised to view the sun through a camera telescope, binocular, or any other optical device, as it will also harm your eyes. In an annual solar eclipse, the sun is completely covered by the moon. Therefore, instead of looking directly at the sun,you should use specialized protection to view the solar eclipse 2023. According to NASA, special glasses are thousands of times darker than ordinary glasses. The ISO reference number should be on these glasses. Another way to view the Surya Grahan is to use a pinhole projector.
