Birutjatio is a Bangla literary group based in Santiniketan. It was started in 2007.

The idea was to recreate a space where the group of friends who had developed a bond through their creativity at school, could meet again. Some were studying Literature, some Science, and this group provided a common umbrella. Then in the Nababarsha of 1415(April 2008) the group got its name and published the first collection using an inkjet printer at home. The printer has become more advanced si

nce, however, the idea still remains the same-We print our mags at home without ads because we aim to sell ONLY literature, and not the extra bits that writers sometimes end up selling. Our Sahitya Sabhas continue to flourish and members who study elsewhere continue to send writeups through email.
