FACT CHECK: NO LOCKDOWN IN DHUBRI

A rumour/ misinformation is being spreaded about a COMPLETE LOCKDOWN IN DHUBRI DISTRICT.
BLP NOW is clearing the doubt.

The Dhubri District Administration, from the office of DC, Shri Anant Lal Gyani, has issued a public order of PROTOCOLS for certain Limitation in the movement of transportation and allowance of Baazar in the District, which was by some people was confused as a NOTICE OF TOTAL LOCKDOWN.

In the mentioned notice which was also published in BLP NOW, stated that because of people not obeying Lockdown Protocols, it has been decided by Dhubri District Administration that-
1. All the Daily, Weekly, Weekend, Haat Baazars will be completely shut down to avoid gatherings.

2. The movement of Rickshaws, Auto Rickshaws, E-Rickshaws are to be completely shut down.

The above mentioned protocols are effective from 7PM of 08.07.2020 to 7AM of 16.07.2020.

Stay safe. Wear Masks, Take precautions, Avoid gatherings.

* Daily Baazar, Hat Baazar, Weakly Baazar to be totally shut from the said period
* Transportation of Rickshaw, Auto Rickshaw and E-Rickshaw to be stopped in this period.
* Violation of Orders will result in Legal Actions against the individual/company.

A family of 6 fall sick in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj after accidentally cooking ‘G***a sabzi’.

The incident which took place in Miyaganj village on Saturday occurred when a vegetable vendor sold _G***a_ to a man named Nitesh claiming it to be methi (fenugreek leaves).

His sister-in-law cooked the meal with the w**d and the family of six later consumed the dish.

The family complained of deteriorating health and asked neighbours to call a doctor after which they all fainted.

The family was taken to the hospital and after interrogation, the police found the cooked _‘ganja sabzi’_ in a vessel along with an uncooked packet of w**d left in the kitchen.

The police then seized both the cooked and uncooked w**d and detained the vegetable seller soon after.

The vegetable vendor, on being enquired why he had sold w**d to the man, said that it was meant to be a joke.

A case will be registered and complaint has been filed about the incident.
