Bidar | Police Seize Illegally Transported Ration Rice
Bidar: The Kamalanagar Police conducted raids at two locations and seized illegally transported ration rice, according to a press release issued by Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti.

On Thursday, the police intercepted unauthorized rice transportation on Udgir Road, near the Maharashtra border, and Diggi Gram Panchayat.

23 quintals of ration rice (46 sacks) worth ₹78,200
Ashok Leyland vehicle used for smuggling seized
Near Diggi Gram Panchayat:
17 quintals of ration rice (34 sacks) worth ₹57,800
Tempo vehicle used for transportation seized
A case has been registered against the accused involved in the illegal transport. The arrested individuals have been remanded to judicial custody, while efforts are underway to arrest another suspect.

CM Siddaramaiah Admitted to Hospital Suddenly

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was suddenly admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru on the morning of February 2. He underwent a medical examination due to pain in his left knee.

Doctors who examined him stated that the pain occurred due to pressure on the area where he had previously undergone ligament surgery. However, they confirmed that there were no other health concerns.

Doctors have advised him to rest at home for two days without traveling. As a result, all of the Chief Minister's scheduled programs for today have been canceled.

Raichur | Accused Surrenders to Police After Killing Student

Raichur: A brutal murder took place on the outskirts of Sindhanur, where a student was killed by slitting her throat.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Shifa from Lingsugur town. After committing the murder, the accused, Mubeen, surrendered himself to the Lingsugur police.

According to the police, the young woman had traveled from Lingsugur to Sindhanur for college in the morning. The accused followed her on a bike all the way to the college and called her aside for a conversation. After a brief discussion, he attacked her with a knife, killed her, and fled the scene.

Upon learning about the incident, DYSP B.S. Talawar, Rural Police Station CPI Veerareddy, Balaganur PSI Yariappa, and other police personnel arrived at the crime scene for investigation.

The victim’s body has been sent to the city’s public hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Loud Noise: 80 Bullet Bike Owners Fined in Bidar
Bidar: Traffic police have fined 80 Bullet bike owners for using modified silencers that produce excessive noise.

The police removed the illegal silencers, fined the owners, and issued strict warnings before releasing the bikes. District Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti emphasized that bike riders must wear helmets, follow traffic rules, and avoid generating loud noises. Violators will face penalties.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Traffic Police Station CPI Bapugouda Patil along with his team.
