Covid-19 pandemic has affected relationships, employments, lifestyles and a lot of other things.
A few have adjusted in this while others are not willing to give up. There are stories all around us, a few we know and a few we got no clue about.

Documenting this very making of History we are in the middle of and bringing those untold stories to the fore, Shades Publications is making a comeback with an anthology of short stories. These stories have one thing in common - the pandemic in the background.

Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives. All over the world, it's a new life, a new way of existing. What's worse is that Even if lockdown restrictions are lifted, the world might never be the same again. The pandemic has affected relationships, employments, lifestyles and a lot of other things.
A few have adjusted in this while others are not willing to give up. There are stories all around us, a few we know and a few we got no clue about.

Documenting this very making of History we are in the middle of and bringing those untold stories to the fore, Shades Publications is making a comeback with an anthology of short stories. These stories have one thing in common - the pandemic in the background.

Shades Publications is open to considering publication of fiction and general non-fiction works in the English language.

Submission procedure:

You can mail us your submissions at [email protected].

For both fiction and non-fiction you can send us a detailed synopsis and three sample chapters (three sample stories in case of short story collections) of the submission.

Please give us at least two months to let you know about the status of your submission. We will get in touch with you if we consider discussing your proposal further.

Please note that the decision to accept or reject your proposal is Shades Publications’ solely. The publication will not necessarily provide a reason for its decision of accepting or rejecting your submission.

Please ensure that you retain a copy of your work/submission as Shades Publications will not be responsible for any loss or damage to your submitted work.

Submissions will not be returned irrespective of whether they have been accepted or turned down. If they have been turned down, the company will not enter into any further communication whatsoever about them.

If we like your proposal, we will ask to see further material, but please do not assume that your manuscript has been accepted for publication. All it implies is that we would like to see the complete manuscript before taking a final decision.

If we accept your manuscript, you will be formally notified by us and terms will be discussed and contracts signed. Until then, please note that Shades Publications cannot assume any liability whatsoever of your proposal/manuscript.
