Kids today will never know what walking into a workshop owned by an enthusiast mechanic was like and I'm happy about it!!

It's our pleasure to feature respected enthusiast mechanic Mr Raja sir (Laeeq Khan) who's still having enthusiasm for our Ideal Jawa Yezdi motorcycles & here's a glimpse of my last visit to his workshop....it was a nostalgic experience for me as we discussed a lot lot lot & lot about Ideal Jawa as back in the day he used to work at Paramount Traders who were one of the main dealers of Ideal Jawa from Bhopal. I remember there was a time when my dad used to tell me that Mr Raja was having outstanding riding skills as he used to take trials of these vehicles after service in a fantastic way!!! He shared a lot of memories of the showroom especially when Irani's came to Bhopal for an event at the showroom & lot more which I'll be updating very soon.

Apart from the nostalgia his workshop gave goosebumps as it has got a lot of interesting things like a sitting table for a mechanic which is made up of 353 milling hub rear sprocket + the Stepney!!

Decarbonised, cleaned, repainted & now it's ready for reboring.

Straight finned bore from factory (unsleeved)
The painter used some liquid for removing the paint off, then used primer, repainted it & finally the baking process

Can't wait for the engine rebuild now!

I remember there was a time when the father son duo used to restore so many Ideal Jawa Yezdi D model's with the same quality & colour schemes that people used to get confused while recognising them!
