🔌 Things I Learnt by Visiting Thomas Edison Center at New Jersey 🔬

I recently had the opportunity to visit the remarkable Thomas Edison Center in New Jersey, where I was inspired and awed by the life and work of the genius inventor. Here are some of the key lessons I learnt from this incredible experience:

1️⃣ Persistence Pays Off: Seeing one of the first 10,000 prototypes of Edison's light bulb was a powerful reminder of the importance of persistence in achieving our goals. Edison himself famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." This taught me that every setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and inch closer to success.

2️⃣ Embrace Change: Edison's legacy extended far beyond inventing the light bulb. He is credited with over 1,000 patents, including ones for the phonograph and motion picture camera. This taught me that to change the world, you need to constantly adapt, evolve, and never stop learning.

3️⃣ Collaboration is Key: Edison may have been a genius inventor, but he was also a master collaborator. His Menlo Park laboratory attracted some of the brightest minds of the time who worked closely together to bring his inventions to fruition. This taught me that a team of diverse perspectives and skill sets can achieve great things together.

4️⃣ Innovation is Endless: The Edison Center showcases not only Edison's inventions but also the numerous innovations and advancements that have emerged since his time. This taught me that innovation is a never-ending journey, and that it's important to always be curious, open-minded, and willing to push the boundaries.

All in all, my visit to the Thomas Edison Center left me inspired and humbled. Edison was a true visionary whose ideas and legacy continue to shape the world today. His story is a reminder that with persistence, adaptability, collaboration, and innovation, anything is possible.👨‍🔬💡
