Techfest IIT Bombay presents Tata Makerthon Challenge with a whopping cash prize of INR 3,00,000!

Participants have to develop a computer vision based target identification app or integrate safety check module to enhance the pre-flight safety checks in UAVs to include validation of operational parameters.

Sad demise of fourth year mechanical student Ashutosh Sarangi happened today. Ashutosh was a very friendly and cheerful person. An amazing human being he was, his passing away has left shock waves of sadness in the college today. No amount of condolences can compensate the grief caused by the sudden loss of such a beautiful soul. May his soul rest in peace.

Ethical Hacking students, kindly submit the fees of Rs 200 to the training coordinators as early as possible.
The coordinators are:-

Good news for GCEK Students!!!
IBM workshops to be conducted after durga puja. Dates haven't been finalized yet. And thanks to our beloved and honorable Principal Dulu Sir for making this program an affordable one. Maximum fees for each workshop will be Rs 100-200 instead of Rs 500-800 as stated earlier. The college will bear most of the expense.
Till now Ethical Hacking and Mobile Robotics workshops have been confirmed. Those who were hesitating earlier due to non-affordability and are interested now, kindly comment your name and course name in the comment box below or contact our partners.

I am trying hard since first year to make our college better. I started GCEK clixgraphers, GCEK Times and GCEK gunda and they all have evolved so much. There is a lot more than these. Students of GCEK are very much talented and i will do anything to encourage them to bring out their true potentials.
People objecting progress due to personal or attitude reasons shall be banned from this page. This college shall prosper as it has been doing till now, I want students to come forward, become interactive and make the college life memorable. Nobody shall be allowed to break the harmony or efforts by our college students. Anyone feeling bad for banning them or disrespectful comments, kindly contact admin (Bismay Mohanty).

Good evening all,
For the first time in the history of our college, GCEK Times is glad to announce that workshops will be conducted by IBM at our college campus. But for a workshop to be conducted, a minimum of 40 students is needed. The 2 days workshop is aimed to provide skillful training and the course fees may vary from 500-800Rs. In the end of the workshop, students will get a certificate from IBM.
Workshops will be conducted in a preferable time after the durga puja vacations. The interested students from all years irrespective of branches are requested to give their names here in the comments and the workshop they are interested for.
1) IBM Bluemix (Cloud Computing)
2) Game Development
3) Android
4) Ethical Hacking & Cyber Ethics
5) Mobile Robotics.
