Altair and Vega, are the embodiment of star crossed lovers. The legend goes that Vega, a celestial princess, fell in love with Altair, a mortal. She loved him dearly and wanted to bring him up into the heavens, so that they would be together for eternity.

Upon knowing this, Vega’s father was enraged and decided to grant Vega’s wish, only with an otherwise intention. He made them stars, separated by the Celestial River, known to us as the Milky Way.

The two lovers, despite being together in the sky, were never actually together. Yet each year, on the 7th night of the 7th moon, a bridge of magpies forms across the Celestial River. Though it would be for one night a year the two lovers are reunited as Altair travels across the river to Vega.

Sometimes Altair’s annual trip across the Celestial River is unsuccessful. In such dark years, Vegas’ tears form raindrops that fall over Japan.

Saiyyan Morey, a story of love and longing, embodies the spirit of star crossed lovers, and eternal love. Releasing on the 26th of August, watch this space for more! ✨

The song composed by Mr. Ashok Paranjape, penned by Mr. Irshad Soudagar and Mrs. Varsha Paranjape is a perfect brew of three languages, English, Hindi and Marathi. The song captures all moods of monsoon, and has an emotion for everyone! Keep watching this space for updates! 🍃
