Honda’s electric scooters are finally here! Say hello to the brand new Activa e: and QC1. The Activa e: has swappable batteries while the QC1 has a fixed battery pack. Here are the key details:

Activa e:
▪️ 2 removable 1.5kWh packs
▪️ Claimed 102km range on a single charge
▪️ 80kph top speed, 0-60kph in 7.3s (Claimed nos)
▪️ Available in 2 variants - only difference is in features, same underpinnings
▪️ 13-degree gradeability, 22Nm peak torque
▪️ 3 riding modes: Eco, Standard, Sport
▪️ Swapping stations operational in Bengaluru; will soon begin in Delhi and Mumbai
▪️ 3 year/50,000km warranty standard on both variants
▪️ Both variants of Activa e: will come with key fob permitting keyless ignition

QC1
▪️ 1.5kWh fixed battery pack, claimed 80km range on a full charge
▪️ Hub-mounted motor makes 1.7kW and 77Nm
▪️ 0-80% takes 4hr30min, 0-100% takes 6hr50min

Both these scooters will be sold through existing Honda Red Wing dealers who will also service them, with three services in the first year alone (quite similiar to most ICE scooters, surprisingly). Bookings for both begin on January 1, 2025 with deliveries starting by February next year.

Vespa’s big GTS scooter has grown and it’s now a 310!

Vespa has achieved this by lengthening the stroke of the motor which now puts out 25hp. The Italian scooter marque also claims that the GTS 310 has an improved spread of torque across the rev band. Aside from that, its a Vespa, which means not much has changed - no bad thing really. You get the same timeless design that has been tweaked over the years and four colours are on offer - teal, red, blue and grey.

2025 Honda Amaze sketches revealed ahead of launch. The sedan has been designed at the Honda R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand after extensive surveys in India.
