If we deeply look into the history of this village we come to know that this village was established by the famous Jatt Sikh Clan Chahal and then other clans also settled here. This village was named Mehal (which is known as Palace in English) because this village had old Forts and Palaces which were constructed by old Maharaja's of Raik
ot Constituency. The main thing which you will find interesting in this village is that people live here in brotherhood. A very alive example of this is that this village has only one Gurudawara. Otherwise, you can find many Gurudawar's or other religious places in one village which shows that how our people have divided religion according to their Clans and Castes. According to religious angle, this village has One Gurudawara on the name of Guru Hargobind Sahib, One Shiv Mandir, One Nanaksar Thaath, and one Mosque which clearly represents that people from all religions live here in peace. If we see from an Educational point of view this village has Government Primary School, Government Senior Secondary School, Baba Gandha Singh Public School, Gurpreet Holly Heart Public School, and Akal Academy Baru Sahib are there we can refer to.
